GetMenuText

I switched to use R_WaitUptext and R_WaitOption in one of my private scripts and about 5 minutes in I got an out of range error in GetMenuText (Text.simba), line 241.

result[count-1]:= TrimHTML(item);

Just wondering, but why are you developing your own? Why not send pull requests to the actual reflection repository?

srl-reflection is an utter mess that I will not take time to clean up. I already had my own include from before, so I just develop on it.

This is mainly caused because your menu changes while it's fetching values, a simple try/except/retry fixes it.

Fair enough. I'll try it out right now, thanks. :)

If you haven't noticed, RRL is completely separate from srl-reflection.
If this is a private script you could simply use RRL, as it has no memory leaks that are known (for your benefit). There might be an issue though, the new hook system I implemented a couple minutes ago, I have to see if it works. Choice is up to you though.

Sure, I'll give it a shot.

E: Nevermind, I can't be bothered to fix all the compiling issues right now, sorry.

If you're fork is that much better, has anyone thought of developing of off yours instead of the current one?

Home uses it for his M1D1 private.
TomTuff used it for a teletab maker/dragon scaler.
Myself and IceFire use it for ScriptCore/Flaxer/SoulWars.
Zyt3x uses it for private scripts.

It's nothing that I want widespread public, it's just offered as a private platform to code off of. :)

Sorry, I meant more replacing the current reflection with yours.

RRL is far from completion and wasn't really intended for SRL use, I just have it integrated with SRL/Smart until the future.

Everything you make is a big secret. I understand waiting until it complete before announcing it, but you don't need setup trollbait everywhere about it.

Not really, I'm simply posting responses to others posts?

Others posts about this "secret". Your talented, but I don't agree with how you flaunt your talents with secrets.

A question about RRL as well, why are all the files .txt? Is it to stay away from simba in all possible ways? Or is the related to this "project" of yours?

Not to take sides with SCAR/Simba atm as RRL is compatible with both. Obviously.

Myles, cool off. What Timer meant by "You'll see" is the potential of what can be done with it. I like his include more then simba-reflection, which is why I use it.

If you think that having (or rather not having) the files in an include .scar rather than .txt or .simba, then why would wizzup leave SRL as all .scar files when the primary platform for SRL nowadays is obviously simba?

Try taking a look at things from a 3rd person, unbiased view before you make (semi) insulting comments.

Train

2011-02-28 21:26:59

Plus, another major reason I'm not giving this way out to the public is because nothing is yet promised.

I don't recall ever being heated? And I agree with his being better, which is why I think he's talented.

You accidentally a word in your second sentence, but I'll interpret it as
If you think that having (or rather not having) the files in an include .scar rather than .txt or .simba means anything, then why would wizzup leave SRL as all .scar files when the primary platform for SRL nowadays is obviously simba?
I'm going to assume it was because svn would not play nice with sudden file extension changes, and its easier to just leave it as is.

I don't believe I have a bias unless you could what they used to be like as a bias, which is just silly.
