Video Editing Software AND HELP!

I want to make a few lol videos.
What's some good but simple video editing software for a noob to use?
I don't need any special features or anything, just basics.
Free or Pay software.

One thing I'd like to do is put the audio from one video on top of another video (and have the audio on the first video muted for a bit)

Stuff like that?! :duh::google:

Thanks,
YoHoJo

Edit:
I would also like to put parts of a video on top of another video, something like play just a 'blob' of one video on top of another video, and have the sound from only the 'blob' video playing. I guess you could call this layering?!

Sony Vegas, I prefer version 7.

This, but I use Vegas Pro 8 or 9, depending on which computer I'm on.

I agree with Sony Vegas, it has some great video editing features. You do have to pay for it, but you can always find a keygen.

I think Sony Vegas is a bit too complicated/feature packed for this… Though you can always give it a shot.

I did have Vegas Pro 9, but that conked out, and the keygen for 10 doesn't work me. Sucks…Anyway, try Camtasia Studio. Good, and has a few features, but not too many.

It's only a trial, but look for keys on YouTube.

EDIT: Also does your edit in first post. It's called PIP (Picture In Picture).

vegas is good and relatively easy, but it also has advanced features if you know how to do them. But if you just google free video editors then you'll end up looking at a bunch of fairly competent ones.

This will do more than what you want. Not to mention there is no pirating involved.. unlike every other suggestion posted here.

Its also extremely intuitive and nice to use.
