Multiple characters Simultaniously

What if you made the characters stored in an ini. Each Character has a new variable: InUse which when the character is autoing, is true (ie when the account is actually logged in) but when they aren't is false.
That way you can run two instances of MSI (basically have 2 simbas open, and running two copies of MSI, and have them both running 1 set of characters.

And it would be fairly easy to do. I'm agreeing here.

Explain better, wat?

I run Two simba/smart/msis with two sets of characters, 5 on one 6 on the other.

Are you saying this will be a good way to handle ONE set of characters running on two simba/smart/msis because the .ini will let you know weather or not the character is logged in?

Yep. At least that's what I think is being suggested.

I don't understand the point at all. I use one player list and use two Simba's all the time. I just choose on the form which ones are active for each Simba.

This way you don't have to set which ones are active

Soo, it saves 2 seconds? :p

Not a bad idea, and I'd be happy to add it if someone made it, but don't expect me to do it anytime soon. I have too many other things to do.

Why run different characters on different instances?

I have always run a single list of characters across multiple instances of Simba. So if there are 20 characters and 5 simbas, the characters log in across 5 different servers instead of the same 4 characters on 1 server all the time.

I like this idea a lot. For me it has always just tried to login the next character. If they were already logged in, it would give an "already logged in" error, and randomly choose another character from the list to try. This way it wouldn't ever try loading one that was already logged in.

It's a minor problem, but a pretty smart solution.

The only problem is when writing and reading to the same file happens at the same time…

"OpenFile - Exception. Could not open file: A:\Drid og lort\Scripting\SIMBA\Test.txt"
Happens when the file is open in another instance of simba

The file will only be accessed for a tiny amount of time, so the odds of it happening are really low, but you could easily just catch the exception and try again in a few seconds.

This is a pretty good idea, makes it easier to use an army. Support :)

Yeah just don't have the file open the whole time.

Totally support this idea. Now that army making is easy, this would be awesome.

Would be even more awesome if you could run the same account list on few computers.

You can. If the script encounters a player that is already logged in, it will just move to the next player.

I do this all the time also and it works great. You can use the MSI player remote this way to reset your players.

So basically, what is being suggested here can already be done. :) Unless I'm missing something?

This is pretty much what I have going for me right now besides from that mine runs off of a MySQL database. So it doesn't matter whether I'm at my mom's or my dad's, I can always just hit Run and it'll sort itself out.

What's the database do? Couldn't you just have the same player list at both houses and it would still work? :o

You just open Simba twice, and run the same script on each instance of Simba.

Yeah when I open up two different simbas and run MSI it doesn't log me into the second one… Or do I have to run the scripts themselves staight off of Simba and not through the MSI page thing?
