A MUST Have For SRL Scripters/Anyone In General

Hey guys i want to introduce you to this awesome program that I have been using recently. If your an SRL Scripter who's programming at night this is a MUST. dont go blind! use FLUX! Its really helpful.
Its called Fl.ux
Quote:Ever notice how people texting at night have that eerie blue glow?
Or wake up ready to write down the Next Great Idea, and get blinded by your computer screen?
During the day, computer screens look good—they're designed to look like the sun. But, at 9PM, 10PM, or 3AM, you probably shouldn't be looking at the sun.
f.lux
F.lux fixes this: it makes the color of your computer's display adapt to the time of day, warm at night and like sunlight during the day.
It's even possible that you're staying up too late because of your computer. You could use f.lux because it makes you sleep better, or you could just use it just because it makes your computer look better.
Download it here:
http://www.stereopsis.com/flux/PS: You must try this while its night , Put it on for like 30 mins ( it might fell wierd n shit) but after exit the program and see the difference

I think so. This is a real program, I've seen it before, but that's not the official website.

WOW! This is pretty cool, the first few seconds while it adjusted it looked weird, but after just a few minutes I got used to it. I've heard a lot about bright/artificial lighting from electronics really screws up people sleep cycles and stuff. It 'tricks' us into thinking it's day time when it's not and stuff like that.
Really cool suggestion/program, I think I'll use it for a while and see how I like it!
Just disabled/enabled it, so cool! Funny how we are all amazed by something so simple!
HAH, Everyone right click it> preview. Shows you the difference, pretty cool. My eyes thank you!

Amazing. Ty for saving my eyes/monitor/sleep pattern. One thing though: The window for the program is all black?

Another awesome program. Just installed this on my netbook and watched the white backround turn to a sort of dusk colour. Looks very neat.

Be careful when doing color scripting with this. I did notice a handy button to turn it off for an hour for "color sensitive work" :).

Takes some getting used to but if it can really preserve your eyes, I say why not?! :)

Why would it matter? I would assume that the colour is done through the display..
If its not.. thats just silly. :(

I guess that simba will still recognize colours correctly but your eyes can be like "wtf, that colour looks waaay too dark".
Just downloaded it, and first impression is that I don't really like it, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
can't install it:(can not find f.lux\flux.exe :(

This doesn't effect color scripting. Turn it on, pick a color at a certain spot, and then turn it off and pick the color at the same spot. It will be the same.

Wow this program hit it big here. I'm glad that this program is put to use.
This program i believe was released 10 months ago. I believe. im not sure maybe was beta then. I just stumbled upon it a while back and decided to post on here since most of us here are computer nerds :) I dont know if it affects full screen games or not as i havent tested it, but it shouldn't be significant difference.
Btw guys, make sure you set your location. There is a location button and put in your zip code and it will open a web page with coordnate that you copy and paste that way it can know what time it is.
Thanks guys for the comments on this program, but all the credit goes to the company who made this. :)
I <3 this Forum.

Hey, this is great!!
Lately I have been having difficulties sleeping because I've been sitting at my computer before going to sleep. This will make it easier :)
Thanks!

I got used to the darkness. This program is nice. :)
Yeh same. I had it on last night, and then turned it off to see what it looked like, and it just looked messed up. I really like this (forget first impressions :p), and will definitely keep using it.
