Evil doubts about how Runescape's Grand Exchange works..

In the past days, i've found particular items that are bought at certain price and sold at another, making it a good money maker activity. But i've noticed some weird things, i'l try to explain:

First werid scenario:
00:00 I auctioned 10 x of Item "X" to sell at 200 GP. (Auction "A")
00:10 I auctioned 10 x of the same Item "X" to sell at the same 200GP price. (Auction "B")
00:20 Auction "A" sells 4x
00:30 Auction "B" sells 6x

Second not so werid scenario, but still…:
I bided for 10 x of item "X" for 1M+ each.
(5% Bellow standard price).
All items were bought, i then sell at 5% higher.

The item "X" is indeed in high demand, but is not that great.
It is abit hard to explain, but the point is that, i have a feeling about that Runescape's Grand Exchange system is semi-player owned.
Its like if it were emulated.

The game is about supply and demand pretty much like anything in life. The difference being that there are autoers. And people who sell rs gold for real money. That no doubt has something to do with the items. If someone bots, they are gaining the resource/xp effortlessly and are willing to get whatever they want for an item. To them, anything is better than nothing. That is pretty much why the rs economy is shit. I'm against botting but more against easily prevented botting.. I'm mainly a legit player but the people who use rsbot like its free money(because it is) and ridiculously easy to use make it such a useful. JaGeX doesn't care so runescape is taking the heat. scum bag money hungry whores…. please excuse the language. The current state of the game I grew to love and enjoy makes me want to scream and kill people. I'll be ok >.>

The first scenario could have been caused by 2 different buyers, the first had his offer filled by your sale, and a new buyer's request was entered into the mix.

The second scenario is a simple flipping scheme, there's nothing strange about it. Buying and selling prices are often offset by an amount.

Your thoughts are interesting to me. I've botted some times, but only for certain equipment item, in less words i have only 1 char which is my main character which i go legit 95% of the time. I've been playing for like 7 years now and i still don't know many aspects of the game.

I dare to ask you, what is your goal in RS? Where do you make fun the most?, do you go pure with your main? or just level all of your stats? I think there is the lack for some legit guides :P. I play runescape only because of the market which i find interesting, but speaking about gameplay, the last thing i remember i did, is the dragon slayer quest which allowed me to wear a rune plate body, but that is.

No, i've been merchanting for a long time, that is the only thing i'm not a noob at, but i recently found items i won't be listing since they are very profitable, i'm making 1m a day just by buying and reselling them, but its illogical that they are sold and bought 5x at the same time, at non-sense prices (hence me making a thread). I know the supply-demand law, but i'm just stating my thoughts.

Lol. Honestly I just speak that way in hope of change but change is unlikely to happen because of… money hungry you know whats lol. I've been playing over 5 years and have over 300 days in my adventurers log.

I really only play my main account(137 cmb, 9 99's, ~2233 total lvl). My goal for RS in general are to have fun wasting my time which has been getting ruined lately because of certain changes. When I play I enjoy gaining experience. My real goal is to have the highest total level possible. Being well rounded is always a good thing(I really don't understand the fascination with trying to only have 1 def… You will end up getting owned by a main so your not the best.) I have only botted to test a script that got me membership here. Knowledge is power. I don't use my knowledge for autoing because that is unfair to others but the game is filled with such dirt now and its just a video game so my runescape "moral's" are basically worthless.

I'm telling you, if you are receiving an item on the GE for a reasonable price under market, and if its a resource, that is RWTers not giving a F*** about others. People who end up selling gold(or dont) think that a little is better than none. And theres a million bots… It sucks being legit when you can't make a dime because of others. Then some people have the nerve to say "How is another character getting 99 effect you?"… LOAD OF HORSE SH**! They gain experience and money without doing anything! I believe jagex will never care.

Since the update, you can ONLY buy/sell at market price. By market price I mean the actual value of the item. The guide price means absolutely nothing. No matter what price you set, the trade will only happen at market price.

For example, I can make a sell offer for coal for 1 gp each, but I will end up getting 250 each. Or I can buy some coal for 50k each, but I will still end up paying 250 each.

The price you set doesn't matter as long as it is below market for selling and above market for buying.

That is an item that is MASSIVELY autoed. Some people try and get their "moneys worth" but prices are still liable to fall due to people being impatient and/or trying to get ANYTHING they can for a particular item.

Merchanting for a long time and all you're able to pull is 1m a day?

Merchanting with the new GE is shit easy, I'm making 1-2% every 20 minutes to 2 hours.

Is there still a buying limit in the ge, like where you can only buy a certain amount of an item every 4 hours?

That's just because people were offering to buy coal for 250 each at the time that you put the auction down, you can trade above/below.
