I've been playing legit lately and sometimes these things will happen to my like a root popping out of the ground to try and trip me or a frog appearing and saying something and then disappearing. Doesn't really affect the game play too much but does anyone know the reasoning behind these random things that happen that don't really do anything at all?

well i know that when i root pops out of the ground, it means that there is an "evil tree" around. these give a TON of XP for the WCing skill, so i've heard. i ran into one yesterday, but it was an evil mage tree, requiring 75 woodcutting. so, if one trips you, you should go looking for it, and if ur wcing level is significant, GO TO TOWN!!! as for the frogs, idk, but there are also shooting stars or something, that land on rs's surface that are for the mining skill, they act the same as the trees. but anyways, those are good xp too. so definately go looking if something like this happens again.

I play legit a TON… 137 combat all legit ~2233 total.
The frog saying something is in the lost city. Zanaris or something… Random rain clouds and 4 dudes in purple also show up from time to time there too. They mean nothing really. Also, you could turn into a pig for ~5 seconds. That place is weird =P

There's actually a clan that does nothing but hunt those shooting stars all day for mining xp. Kinda off topic, but Pro's post reminded me of it.

My friend owned one of those clans or was high up in it, it's ridiculous.
I guess it's great XP though if you can constantly be teleporting around mining them out.

yeah u get mass xp from those, if there is a clan out there that does that, i'd like to join (; 99 mining/wcing ftw? haha. but i only would really mine them and such if i just randomly ran into them. hunting them is a bit rediculous, and on top of that, there is no profit to be made, in my opinion, i like to train stats while gaining profit (besides combat stats.)
