[Request] Larder builder! - WILL REWARD WITH MEMBERSHIP

Before you turn away, I will give 2 months of membership to whoever makes this happen! :)

I want a script that automatically builds a larder, tears down larder, build larder again and continue until out of planks. Then it talks to the servant and tells him/her to fetch more planks, wait for servant and repeat the whole process!

I'm not going into details about the larder so you may need to have some construction experience to know what I'm talking about. :)

I just bought 10k oak planks and I won't let them stay in the bank for too long, so you have one week to complete. (Till 24th)
And should more than one script be made, I will give 2 pins to the best and 1 pin to second best. :)

About the membership, you must have teamviewer so I can enter the PINs myself. ;)

Edit: The scripts shall also be released to public. :)

EDIT: Guess not :(

Does this count as script buying/selling? I'm pretty sure that's now allowed, but you're more than welcome to make a request without the offer, something as simple as this I'll bet wouldn't be so much of hard work as it would be just a 'fun challenge'.

The reward should be fine. I don't count this as script buying, as the script will be published to Public Scripts, at least I hope it gets published if someone decides to make this.

Aye, I don't intend to keep this a personal script. It should be released to the public. The reward is merely a way to encourage scripters to make new scripts. :)

Donation is a better term, as that's allowed.

I think.

One day, maybe sometime soon, I'll regain my old role as a Rs scripter, and I'll be happy to create scripts like this, as that seems to be my highest ambition; unique pioneer scripts as the first of their kind.

I would have made this, but i have no clue about construction, sorry xD

I'd make it but I currently have no members, if you're willing to supply me with a temporary account I'll create one in a few days, but the problem is that room placement will be different for each player, so I'm thinking to use the script kitchen will have to be placed at a specific location.

Is Butler really worth it? I saved myself quite a few mills by just using duel rings to cw and house teles back (1 law, 1 dust, 26 planks = 4 larders + oak workbench). Got 75 cons pretty fast that way.

Does it need sacred clay hammer support as well? I have 2 mem accounts at the moment, so I may attempt this.

Used same method :), but butlers can actually cut the planks for you, as in run to the mill and cut em into planks from logs, that's the only advantage as far as I know.

Never heard about these butlers, sounds great.. do you just buy one at a certain level or?

I guess that would depend on how much time-to-money ratio you're willing to spend. A demon butler is by far faster, but will stack up in cost over time as opposed to, like you said, dueling rings/home teleports. Although, I'd imagine the rings and tabs would also stack up in cost.

Oh btw, if you did 75 to make a Guilded Alter, you could have made it at 69 with a few 'boosts'. ;)

Demon butler is quite a bit faster I believe? Also I have to use tele tabs since I'm a lvl 3 skiller. I don't mind spending a little extra for that. :)

@ferocity: Add me on MSN, Aleksandersleire@hotmail.com . I don't have any spare accounts atm so I can give you a PIN in advance then another one once you're done :)

Or you could possibly have the user of the script enter an RS tile coordinate and read where the larder is from that. I'v actually started this already, and I'm doing it for free :)

Pff, nothing is made for free when it's something I've requested. Just let me know when it's released so I can reward you ;)

EDIT: It has to match the criteries of course :)
Off-topic: How do you spell the plural of criteria? Spell check here says criteries isn't a word. :(

Criteria is the plural of criterion :)

Got gilded already at 68 (crystal saw + boosts) but I wanted to waste my cash :p 75 looks way nicer and I was actually planning on getting 99.

This script has been a real challenge so far. The tiles change whenever you re-enter the house, and the transparency of the building spot makes it hard to use color. I will keep trying though :)

You could probably make it a lot easier with some extra user input.

Have them get their current tile when they enter their house, and then the tile where the larder is to be built. They you get the difference and you use that difference in x and y to walk their everytime, unless the house rotates.

Would make it easier on the scripter and less leach friendly.

This. Just have the script run a setup procedure on the first run, to get larder relative to house entrance.

I see what you mean, something like:
Tile(GetMyPos + larderLocationX, GetMyPos + larderLocationY)

That's a really good idea :) I was having the script search for the larder object id via GetObjectByID and walk to a tile near the larder when it found the ID. But that would create problems if the larder was more than 52 tiles away from the entrance portal. So I will use your idea.
