Make Disguise NOT Writeln

procedure Disguise(s : string);
begin
Writeln(format('Disguising as: %s',[s]));
end;

BASICALLY:
1) Disguise should change the name of the window AND the tab when you minimize the window please.
2) There are TWO disguises, one in SRL and one built into Simba
2.5) The SRL one WriteLns the disguise AND disguises (annoying), while the Simba one just disguises.

(Original Post Below):

Disguise should just disguise.
Not disguise and writeln. :duh:
That's annoying.

Or at least add a boolean parameter that asks if we want it to writeln or not.

Also, I feel like I might be being stupid about something….
Is there a way to make it not writeln already?

Edit: Also shouldn't disguise change the name of the tab (Simba) to whatever I tell it to disguise to? Because it's not doing that for me.

So what exactly does 'Disguise' do in a script/Simba? I only make my own so I've not encountered it before. I'm assuming it changes the name of Simba to something else while it's running, or something along those lines?

Yes it changes the title bar and perhaps tab title.

Well, in SCAR it chanced the name of the scar window, so when you minimized it, it would say whatever you disguised it to instead of "SCAR". It doesn't seem to be doing that for me on Simba though.

A boolean paramater for debug? No… how about a DEBUGLEVEL constant?

It changes the title on the actual title bar of the window but does not on the taskbar (the place where the start menu is) and remains "Simba".

If you had the old Disguise function from Scar then why not use it in Simba? You can adjust it from there as such I'd imagine… Maybe you could also use it to temporarily switch the Simba icon to a…. notepad or fold icon, just a suggestion.

SCAR disguise changes both the name of the window title itself, and the name of the tab.
Simba disguise changes only the name of the window title itself, but not the name of the tab.

So I want it to change the name of the tab and not writeln what it's disguising to. Please :].

Edit:
WAT? Is there a disguise built into Simba AND a disguise in SRL?
The Simba one (when not including SRL) does not writeln.

You can safely remove that Disguise() function from SRL. It was there because Simba previously didn't implement Disguise yet.

Will it be removed in later versions of SRL too?

Also, could you make it so it also changes the name of the tab?

Also, RESET MY STATS PASSWORD/CHECK YOUR PMs.

Thanks.

Why would you like that?

program new;
begin
Disguise('Wat');
end.
Works :-).

Guess people need to stop including SRL when testing a feature ;-).

Besides, the tab title won't be changed, as that represents the document currently in the editor..

I use it very often when debugging a script (on the spot) when it's running on Rs in Chrome. Very useful :)

When autoing, I minize Simba and SMART. So all that's "visible" is just their tab on my taskbar.

Then, in my scripts I add in disguises to tell me whats going on like
If ClickRock Then Disguise('Mining')
If FindRocks Then Digusise('Searching for Rocks')
If FindNormalRandoms Then Disguise('Trying to Solve Random')
etc etc

And I like to be able to know what's going on with my script/characters by just glancing down and without having to unminimize anything.

You're not talking about script tabs?

No No.
I'm talking about these:

I want disguise to change the name from Simba to the disguise string.
