SmeltingScreen in smithing.scar

Basically, this is the current function:
Result := GetTextAtEx(158, 367, 0, NPCChars, False, False, 0, 0, 128, 4, True, tr_Letters) = 'What';

I created a fix that works: :) (Note: Just discovered that the cannonball text is different, should be 'Choose' instead)

{*******************************************************************************
function SmeltingScreen: Boolean;
By: n3ss3s fixed by IPwnz
Description: Returns true if the bar selection in chatbox is open.
*******************************************************************************}
function SmeltingScreen: Boolean;
begin
Result := GetTextAtEx(14, 352, 5, SmallChars, True, False, 0, 0, 16777215, 3, True, tr_Letters) = 'How';
end;

The smelting screen looks like this now:

You could use CountColor() on the text or something similar if you can't get GetTextAt to work :)

Does everything else work?

Dunno, would need to run a smelter to see that.

That's why SRL should have BareBone scripts.

Not at all.

I have a smelter, and I know there's some smithers out there, so it *should* be working or someone has already found a solution.

SRL barebones
– openbank {withdraw needed items}
– SPS_WalkTo(Furnace)
– SRL_OpenFurnace
– SRL_Smelt(ore)
—- WaitWhileSmelting
– SPS_WalkTo(bank)
– OpenBank {deposit & withdraw}

I'm building a TScriptRecord for MSI that would allow most of this to be put into one simple record.

I don't think Barebones *could* be an SRL project because you guys don't want to make it too easy on scripters, but it could probably come as a "son project" to MSI.

A TestSmelter and TestSmither, (basic scripts) could easily be made.

Problem with barebones is balancing simplicity with effectiveness.

I suspect Fawki and Boreas would be the real leaders of barebones…. and I have other things to work on right now anyway ;)

I find it kind of funny that there's no-one raging at MSI for "making things easier" like they did at reflection… MSI has made it 20x easier to make a script than reflection ever did, but no-ones complaining about that… :p

My guess is that no-one really cares if it's "too easy" or not.

E: Just noticed this hasn't anything to do with the thread what-so-ever… Sorry for the off-topic >_<

Lol it's cus most people wouldn't know how to implement MSI into their scripts or how to make a script using the MSI library ;)

People will find out in time :p

Not to mention MSI is a script, not an include, though the functions could be included and used in other scripts.

To continue with the offtopic, you could include MSI into your script and write a flawless 400 line script guaranteed. You wouldn't need any walking paths if you chose the location right.

400? more like 40 + procedures like DeclarePlayers and such :p

I'd say MSI is both an include and a script

I was including the typical 100ish line setup that a script would take plus setup of paths, etc.

And to bring this back on topic, I fixed the text finding function instead of just finding one pixel of color (the old fix I had). :)
