Once upon a time, in a village far from our known world, was a very poor man.
This man lived from what he stole or found and did but nothing wish for wealth and power. He had a wife, poor aswell, but no children as raising them is expensive.
One day however, he left the village, in search for wealth and glory in a forest, not far from there.
The man had already been in the forest, mainly to find inner peace, run away from his problems, from his life.
In the forest, he could lay down, surrounded by an aura of green and blue.
He was persuaded that somewhere in this forest, he would find what he seeked : something which could make him rich and wealthy, gain respect and power in his village, end the misery and hatred which always was haunting him.
That day, in the forest, something was different, everything seemed to shine more, and life was flowing from every single part of the woods.
He heard a voice, directing his steps inside the forest. Out of pure and simple curiosity, he followed the directions, and ended up deeper in the forest than he ever had been before. Than anyone ever had been before.
Once there, there was an altar, upon which stood a chalice.
The poor old man came closer to the chalice and touched it, he heard a voice :
"Whenever one of your tears fall into the chalice, it will become a pearl.
Now up to you to decide, wether you want wealth or happyness."
The man had always been happy, despite the hatred and the lack of money. He was always smiling, and had never shed a tear.
He took the chalice, and left the forest.

Three months later, the old man was still poor and hated, yet he had not shed a single tear.
He needed money, hunger ravaged his spiritual and physical body, he could not think, he could not act, he could not live anymore.
And so he did it. He commited the ultimate sacrifice for wealth and power.
He was rich, rich !
Thousands of pearls ! A million ! A billion !
He sat in a little house, filled with pearls. He was litterally surrounded by pearls !
Such happyness ! Or not.
He sat with pearls, sure, but he sat, crying more than anyone ever had cried before, holding a knife in his hand, and the corpse of his wife in his arms.
