An indifferent party who makes sure no one gets scammed.
Goes a bit like this:

Player 1: Selling the rs goods
Player 2: Giving real $

1: Gives goods to middleman.
2: Pays real $ (via paypal or whatever) to middleman

Middleman: Gives real $ to player 1
Middleman: Gives rs goods to player 2

I thought the MiddleMan would only hold the item being sold until the buyer gives the seller the money.

Having the middleman intercept money leaves him open to disputes.

I'm sure he could for rs gold though.

do you guys do this half the time just to see what's being traded lol? or to see people of srl in game lol? also…says always ask for pm…im not sure what thats for??? is that to verify that the person u asked (possibly on msn) is actually that person? because what if u asked them on srl?

Confusing… ^ lol.

He means basically if you talk to anyone/anyone contacts you somewhere besides SRL and claims to be a user from SRL you should always ask them to PM you from their SRL account to verify that it is actually them.

Well I already know what's being traded cus I read the threads/boards. You don't have to use a MM but if you want you can (currently the interest is quite low :rolleyes:). And yes that is to verify the guy at msn is actual guy, if you have no PM and you got scammed, you got no proof and we can't do anything to ban the user.
