I am running vista x64 and I have a problem were smart takes a VERY long time to load…

BUT it still eventually loads…sometimes faster than others..

I will get stuck on Checking for Updates 98%..99%..100% then it will have like numbers in ()'s like (9), (10), ect..

Then after that it will get stuck on Fetching Updates 93%..98%, and then the numbers in ()'s after it again..

RS loads fine in chrome, firefox, IE…my graphics settings are correct..because it WILL load eventually..

I have no idea how to fix this, but would love a fix…

I have tried opening ports..It was suggested on the RS forums, I found it after a google..still no help

I have already done that, as well as redownloading and installing simba + smart

I cant figure it out..

I had this problem, but on Win 7 64 bit

What you have to do is go to www.runescape.com and click to play, when the RS client loads go to settings and click custom then either click safe mode or software. Reload smart see if it works

Just recently i have started scripting again, but before i took a long break, smart worked fine on this same vista x64 machine…

I also installed everything on my parents comp(WinXP x86) the other day just to test it out, and smart loaded fine..

Try an earlier version of SMART.

Make sure you are using it on signed. Unsigned will take that long.

Found them in the SRL SVN Revs…but I only went back to like 6.1 because then i start to lose added smart functions…soo

its still not loading properly….:(

I need a solution

tested it in scar, to see if it was simba, but nope…same loading problem :S

Post on RS forums about it, and act as if you get this error when running RS in your browser.

Unfortunately the users on their forums are below average intelligence, you probably won't get anywhere.

P.S. I know people like to assume it's SMART's fault because SMART is all mysterious and such, but the chances are astronomically huge that this is not a SMART problem, but rather a problem with your computer's setup.

After some testing with delaying the client graphics with TRiBot, I noticed that the client (startup) somehow loads slowly (like SMART), according to the graphics delay… so it's client bug.

If Benland were to disable to graphics delay while the client is loading, it would probably make it load significantly faster.

Loads fine for me.
