I've got my f2p army running rimmington mines for iron and gold (which is better btw?)

The player form doesn't automatically load or save players, which caused me to have to reenter all my information today because I didn't load my players and went to exit and it saved the blank file over my current one. Maybe make it auto load? Also, when at the last tab, it has more options (like where I check boxes not to drop uncuts) that I can't edit, what is the purpose of these?

Anyways, I'll be posting some good progress reports in the next couple of days hopefully.

Also, what would you recommend for good lvl 40-60 miners in MSI to gain money via mining? Like coal etc..

Thanks.

LSW miner is pretty good for coal, mith and addy, and not generally too populated. That's really the only one I ever use :redface:

I hadn't thought of that.

Another question though.

Why is the default random scan time set to 15 seconds? I decreased it all the way to 1500 and in my scripts I normally use it injunction loops so its like multiple times a second.

That's a good idea, I wonder why it hasn't been like this from the start?

Edit: been running LSW for a while now.

Really needs to turn on run while mining ores because people beat me to them.
Also it would be cool if you added up how many times in a row you found an ore and didn't get it so you switched to a less populated world.

I'd imagine Gold is pretty slow as there's only 2 rocks.

Yes this can be done, I'll do it as soon as I can. :)

Those are there for future intentions. They don't actually work yet. I suppose they could be make invisible until they're used.

Because some people experience an excessive amount of lag when it's called so often. Don't ask why, because I have no idea.

Hm I received that error also, but I thought I had fixed it. I'll have to look into it.

A simple RunEnergy(20) or something would work. Can just call it before searching for objects I think.

It's been suggested, just not added yet. It shouldn't be difficult at all. A function just needs to be created, then called in the right place.

Thanks for the feedback. :)

Also, how's the WaitWhileMining? I've been meaning to use the same concept I recently added to Woodcutting, but haven't yet had the chance.

I also noticed the antiban happens exactly every 15 seconds. Kinda obvious?

Shouldn't it be random based on a percentage chance.

I added that for breaks/totals a month or so ago, but I'll do it for antiban too tonight. Thanks for pointing it out, I've never noticed it before. Should have always had a random time added on to it though..

It shouldn't…

if (Random(100) > ChancePerc) then
Exit;
ChancePerc is almost always set the ANTI_BAN_CHANCE, which is set to 10.

If it's supposed to be a 10% chance of antiban then it should be:

if (Random(100) < ChancePerc) then
Exit;
no?

Coh3n

I thought that too, but it exits if Random(100) is greater than ChancePerc. If ChancePerc is 10, then it would exit for values 10-100, which is what it should be.

Added the Percentage randomness. Tested and it seems to be effective though I'm verrry tired. Just let me know if something isn't right, but all seems well.

Players are now automatically loaded into the form. I also looked into that Out of range error and I could reproduce it. Maybe it has something to do with the random? If you still have the debug, could you please post some more before the error? It'll help to identify exactly which procedure it was in hopefully. Thanks.

Oh, and I don't think there were any other issues you were having?

I'll dig up the thing tomorrow.

Oh and, I think it would be really useful to ensure that run is enabled while mining (maybe other skills similar like woodcutting too) because when I'm mining other people run in front of me and steal my ores.

A RunEnergy() call was added to MSI_AutoInvFull, and it's been working for me. I think NCDS committed that yesterday.

I haven't had the script fail or give me the out of range in a over a week.

Me and my IRL friend have been taking turns running our shared army day and night for days at a time, lol.

Another improvement that I noticed would be good is the optional ability to pick up other people's dropped ores off the ground. Since a lot of us only care about the money making and not training our mining to level 99, this would definitively speed up the process :)

I've been using rimmington iron miner 1 on all the accounts as it has proven to me to be the fastest way to make f2p money mining.

That's a great idea. I'd suggest to leave that option off by default though :)

@ bold text; I feel the same way :) I'm doing this for my little army

Hm, we don't really have a ground items system at all, but I suppose it would just be adding another object record and writing like a PickUpItem function.

Also, I'm really glad it's working well for you, glad to hear it. :)
