Norwegian keyboard layout + Simba = Fail?

Hello!

When I use any typing functions with Simba it will output another symbol than that I entered. Example: sendkeys(':=?') outputs '.0+'. That is wrong! With SCAR this has never been an issue.

Anyone knows what the problem may be, and even better how to fix it? :)

Huh. I've never thought about this before, but I guess if your system has the default layout as Norwegian it would type the Norwegian characters for those keys. To fix this you have to do the US equivalent key, I guess? :x

This is a known problem. Change string s in TypeSendEx in text.scar:


S:= 'ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXZ' + '~!@#$%^&*()_+{}|:"<>?';
//Change it to match the characters that need a shift on your keyboard

Why would the keyboard layout matter? I believe it works fine for me, and I use a dvorak layout.

Does dvorak also change numbers? I forgot. The main issue is with shift+key combo's, afaik.

Anyway, yeah. This is a known bug; SCAR hasn't had support for it for a long time either but it should be made eventually. Don't know how hard it is for Windows. :)

Norwegian keyboards has almost all of the symbols at different locations than american, besides we're missing a button at one line and have 2 extra at another line.. Such mess. :) Thanks for the help :)

Oh, no, the numbers are all in the same location.

Yes, and we have æøå too instead of ';[

also, nielsi95; this happens with Sendkeys too, not only typesend

Yes, I meant in dvorak all the numbers and symbols are the same. Didn't realize that was the issue with the norwegian keyboard.
