As we all know Valentines day is 2 weeks away, and its time to start preparing to get that special something for your loved one.

My girlfriend and i have been together for 1 year and half and I can say that she is indeed the best girlfriend. Here are my reasons.

-She loves me till the end.
-She is deep down loyal to me.
-She provides me that something,something when i want it ;)
-She watches every football game with me.
-She probably knows more about football than most guys out there.
-She is very smart with a 3.8 GPA.
-She is already a Junior in College as im still a Sophmore.
-She puts up with my shit.
-She deals with my nerdy ass. (simply because I'm always fixing her comp.)
-She supports everything I do with computers.
-She loves to party. (which girl doesnt?)
-She loves to go shopping without emptying out the wallet.
-She loves to eat cheap. (Sometimes)
-She knows that i too love her till the very end.
-She has bought me numerous components for my computer such as, $130 mouse, a power supply, a motherboard, a Coolermaster 932 Full Tower Case, and now she just ordered me a Sapphire 5770 Vapor-x Graphics card.

She is indeed my girlfriend that I have been with since highschool. She knew what she was getting her self into and she still hasn't left me for my gaming,computer spending, etc. etc.

As for me, I'm not really in the Valentine's mood. I don't feel attracted to anyone right now, I don't mind being single. It's a good time for sure.

theres this cute science partner, she made a joke about valentines day being "single awareness day", so i'll be making her a heart shaped cake with black frosting and a red jagged line to symbolise a broken heart, just for shits

Sadly, my college is disappointing in the realm of the ladies. Most of the attractive ones are brainless, sorority or fraternity girls (which I am definitely not into). The ones that are actually intelligent already have boyfriends / fiancées / husbands. **E: by attractive I don't necessarily mean looks. Attraction goes much further than whats on the outside. /E**

Being single ain't bad, but life is definitely ten times better (and more expensive, haha) when you've got a special woman in yours.

Back to your question: to be perfectly honest, the best thing you could do for that special someone on Valentines day is something genuine, specific to that someone, and very creative. Tune Valentines day to her. Make it a day she'll never forget because it's her ideally perfect day. Sure the typical box of chocolates and a teddy bear with roses is great and all, but if she's really that special to you, you've got to do it right; every step you take to go out of your way and make the day even better for her makes her love it even more. Girls go crazy (the good kind) for effort - even if it doesn't turn out anything like you planned. Also, entirely unexpected surprises do wonders!

my gf of 3 years has her birthday the day after VD. Sad part is I have to leave town on her birthday for almost a week for a school competition out of state.

I'm thinking of getting her 3 roses in a vase thing on VD, and then picking up 3 more and adding them to the vase on her birthday.
