I asked my girlfriend to marry me tonight and she said YES! I just thought I would let everyone know! :D WOOT!
I'm 21, she's 22, and we've been together for 7 years. High School sweethearts, moved to california together to go to college.
Before I say congratulations I'll ask you how old you are, how old is she and how long have you been dating?

So, there is that whole thing about people pulling off flower pedals and saying 'he loves me, he loves me not, etc…'.
We were walking in the park late at night (under the stars :) ) and I seen a tree with this huge white flowers on them. So I grabbed one and gave it to her, then asked her if she remembered how she use to do that 'he loves me, he loves me not' thing/game and she started doing it (like I hoped). The last one ended up being 'he loves me' and I grabbed her hand, told her I loved her…and more stuff…got down on a knee and proposed.

It is in Dana Point, CA and overlooks the harbor below. It is an amazing view of the harbor and the Pacific Ocean.
Congrats on the engagement !!!, just a short hijack to tell you I was married @16 the first time(she was 21 and pregnant), 25 the second time (she was 23 and pregnant) and now involved in a stressful polygamous relationship (hence my hiatus for the last 6 months).
My only advice.."Choose your battles carefully"….any woman that puts up with a "RS computer nerd" is a keeper ! :)
