I just recently got back into rs and I was wondering where would be a good place to train my combat lvl 85 player. its not a skiller, all stats are even.

The Stronghold of Security is a very good place for all types of accounts to train, I think you should try some of the lower levels there. :)

Definitely, pretty much guarantees you more XP/hr due to the fact that you'll be able to stay there for much longer.

Also in the second floor, there are Flesh Crawlers that are aggressive regardless of your combat level, and they have a really low attack. Assuming you have more than 1 Defense, you can turn on auto-retaliate and only have to check on your player every minute or so.
Beware that they eventually will stop being aggressive, just switch "room"/relocate and the Flesh Crawlers in the other room(s) will be aggressive; rinse and repeat. :)

Agreed with the flesh crawlers, bring the best food you got and just sit there, it's amazing almost as amazing as botting

If you have 60+ defence and a set of full rune you can go down to the giant spiders, same concept as the flesh crawlers but they will grant more xp/hour.

If your f2p, the best xp per hour would be training on fleshcrawlers or giant spiders. If your p2p, you can train on rock crabs, yaks, experiments, or by doing slayer tasks.
