Heard a lot of good things about this router with open source on it.. a lot of people are using open wrt with it but I hear tomato has better external HDD / printer usb support… so I'm giving it a go.(my router is 7-8 years old which is why I'm getting a new one (Linksys WRT54G))
My router has been dying, the second Ethernet port in the back died last week so I went ahead and ordered the new router, only 2 ports left =/
I'll be connecting a 2TB (NTFS formatted) external HDD to it for file sharing around my house between all the computers & my entertainment system.
Using open source software for it

heard great things, some guy over clocked it and put a 2000RPM 120mm fan on it to keep cool, got a signal from something ridiculous like almost a mile away.. I'd assume it was in the middle of no where with little interference
what do you guys think?
no one has experience in routers =[
