Seaweed collector

Shouldn't be randoms or reports

I don't know if it's still true today, but years ago you could get the color of the seaweed on the ground by looking at a certain point on the inventory version. Though reflection is probably faster nowadays anyway, especially for the walking.

Using seaweed nets would be nice but not needed

Whatever place you have the quests for is fine with me;
Fairy ring DKS fremmy village
Piscatoris fishing colony
Shilo village
Entrana (not sure on bank)

I was going to make one for entrana that uses the deposit box by the monk who will take you to entrana to supplement my seaweed needs for my script (see sig). If you want to make on though, go right ahead :D

Heh yea I saw your script, I got about 17k of the other supplies ready to go, I just need the seaweed. And I'm retired, hence the request :p

Okay so it wasn't just freak timing. After i burn up this 3.5k seaweed I'll start one. What's the best (read: fastest) location? I would think it to be Entrana since there are 8 spawns (10 if you want to telegrab), but it's quite a walk.

From what I read on wikia, it seems like each spot either has many spots or good bank access. The ones with few spots and good bank access would probably be better for something that can make use of the time waiting for spawns (monkfish etc). So I would assume that Entrana or Fremmy coast would be best, depending on fairy rings, void outpost, and other teleports. Either one would be pretty fast, especially with seaweed nets to reduce banks.

Law runes and air runes (since no staffs are allowed on entrana) would be brought in the inventory, along with 16 seaweed nets (denoted by ping squgglies (they were supposed to be N's…)). All 10 spawns would be collected, then bag 1 would be filled, and depending on spawn time, world hop or break until the seaweed respawns. do this 16 times (leave the 10 extra slots open for emptying) and walk back to the boat and return to port sarim. use the nearby bank deposit box to empty and deposit all 16 nets. Repeat. That makes for 160 seaweed per trip. Not too shabby.

Any better ideas?

Would the seaweed spawn before 40 seconds? If so than you are better off just waiting on the same world.

Is anyone gonna do this or will I have to myself?

TomTuff, I'll gladly help you make it. I was just collecting some seaweed myself brought some seaweed nets. I was collecting them when one of my nets broke and the seaweed that was in the net went into my inventory…
