SRL Archive - Who Are You ? Who ? Who ?

Hi SRL community,

I used to be a newbie just silently reading everything on Mopar and Srl forums a few years back, but never actually leeched due my shoddy internet making macroing/botting too much of a pain. From just reading basic stuff and some tutorials, I learnt a bit of PASCAL and making really basic srl scripts, but runescape stuff fell by the wayside as other life commitments (i.e. exams and other hobbies) took over.

Well, now my internet and pc is a lot better, I've decided to check up and see how the RS cheating community was going and maybe dive back in. I see that alternatives like Powerbot & nexus are still chugging along, and that Reflection, Simba and MSI seem to be the biggest developmental things that have happened so far. I'm still not exactly sure what this reflection is, so I'm going to have to check it out.

Is there a thread of historical events that I could check up on to see how things have gone over the last few years? I hear this bad 'december' event mentioned in hushed tones, but I'm curious to what it was? Or is that just stuff that just stays in the past and doesn't get mentioned again?

There are a few small threads of nostalgia regarding the cheating history. This 'December' event is not well known by most people, it seems. It was just some silly forum drama, from my understanding. You can try digging but beware that some people don't like drama resurfacing.

Also, you said that you had been lurking (for lack of better terms) a few years ago. Would there be another account that you own which would be better for you to use?

If it's just forum drama, I'd rather not know. The internet shouldn't be taken seriously.
Also I can't actually remember my original account name or the e-mail linked to it. In my cyber-paranoid younger years, I shifted e-mails constantly, but neglected the foresight to record what one's I used :duh:.

It could be the December he's hearing about lately. I also know that some kind of shit went down that made people unhappy during the December that just happened. I assumed that was the one he heard of.
