Selling VPS'es to bot at?

Seems that our friends at Powerbot got quite a few people renting VPS'es for just one purpose: to bot at them.
Seems a very lucrative business and also good for the macro'ers: no pc to leave on, other IP for appeals/no mass ip ban.
Around $8/month to run one or two bots at a time.

This might explain why there are *that* many botters atm.

I wonder if they would all have the same/similar IP range?

Most likely. At least they would be similar.

Well apparantly Jagex said they have 30k accounts to ban. This could have something to do with it, it would be easy to figure out I guess (even if Jagex had to rent a spot on the VPS to get the IP's/run a rootkit/something)
