What could I do with a character with 30 defence and 60 strength? I barely ever hit with my obby maul (1 attack). Should I train attack to 20?

Defense quest it and get 99 str and 80+ def. It will own. You could use range to train defense, it might be a little faster.

No, but he still needs to do all the quests that give defense so that he can get items like the helm of neitiznot.
