I have bedbugs.

I couldn't sleep tonight because I got the sensation of things crawling on me, and I kept scratching. So I turned on the light and checked myself out, nothing, but on the bed, was 1 small reddish-brown bug. I found out about bedbugs a few months before, and I know that's what it is.

I also took off the sheets, and there is a semi-decent size egg cluster, along with a few shells.

I fit most of the signs from this website, (and if you want to see pictures of everything I am talking about)

http://www.everydayhealth.com/skin-beauty-photos/getting-rid-of-bedbugs.aspx

Edit: The picture shown on the first link is EXTREMELY close, it doesn't look like that from a regular eye perspective. (And the ones I have aren't as thick as some shown.)

I flicked one and it spurted a big blob of blood. So it shows how much they have been feeding on me/my dog. (It doesn't look like dogs carry them, but my blankets do touch the floor.)

So FML? I have to sleep because I go to school in 5 hours, but my spare blankets in my room have also been laying on the floor, so I think that defeats the purpose of replacing the sheets on the bed…

Lol unlucky bro. Good night, don't let the bedbugs bite! Oh wait….

I had this problem a few weeks back I'm now sleeping with a bed throw as they'd attacked my blanket (it's been -5 recently so I hate my laziness for not going to buy a new blanket)I literally vacuumed the whole room, matress and then flipped matress over and cleaned it…

Going overboard gets rid of them.

Edit: sleep in a sleeping bag ;)

Kave, I have been using my sleeping bag as a cover because its really warm. So sadly, thats out of the question.

They are a real bitch, get ready to fumigate your house or even move (and leave everything behind) if they are really bad.

It only looks like a controlled cluster. I picked up the spare blankets that I haven't touched in months (that were on the floor. I didn't even fully open them, because the shells were pretty bad… (Probably the source to my problem…)

For tonight, I found 2 big blankets, just going to place 1 as a sheet on the bed. Other for on top. I wiped the small cluster with a rag of the bed. And the blankets are clean, so its a decent solution for tonight.

And its at my dads, and I only say here mostly every other weekend and sometimes through the week.

Thanks for this, now I'm not getting sleep for the next 1 week :(

Haha, just check the crevices in your bed, if you see a bunch of brown/red spots. Its probably their feces. Or you can noticeably see their shells in the cracks/spare blankets if you look. OR, you might see them if you check the crevices/cracks. If you don't see anything, your clean.

Do they really bite? Ew.

If you have a bedbug infestation you won't get rid of them by throwing away a random egg sac and vacuuming. Those little shits can hide man</tinfoil hat>.

Better hope you caught them before they gained a stranglehold on your dad's place.

Be careful not to spread them to your mom's or wherever else you live. I imagine you won't be able to stop that though… Bedbugs are much worse than they are being portrayed here.

Vacuuming wont do shit… Fumigating barely has any effect anymore…. You can spray these bedbugs with the stuff that used to kill them a few years ago and those motherfuckers will just laugh and smoke a blunt on your pillow.

DO NOT take a bag of clothes from your dad's to your moms.

Yo, while you are at your dads house, go into the living room, get 2 spare blankets, untouched by bed bugs, and a pillow, use 1 under and 1 over you. Sleep like that :D. It's comfy for me.

Ohhh, sorry man. That sounds like a sucky ordeal. GL with the pest control.

What do they need to survive? I don't turn the heat on in my apartment (save energy and money).

E: Purge with fire??

I think they can go without food for several months, not sure lol.

Solution: Put all sheets in your dryer on high, heat = kills them.

Seriously though, kitchenrange is 100% right. Do NOT spread that shit. It is hard to get rid of, and more places you go the more it spreads.

Yeah, except they don't all live in your sheets.

Seriously, the only sure fire way to kill them now is to get one of these big heaters that heat your house up to like 115F or something, like 3 degrees over needed to kill them.

Expensive though and not all exterminators have access to it.

There is usually three main causes I believe.

Being nasty as fuck.
Living in a building with nasty fucks.
and Hotels. - includes traveling to and from hotels and your place of residence.

So obviously the solution is just to not be involved with nasty fucks.

But srsly, there's no way to prevent bed bugs 100%. Just like there's no way to 100% prevent head lice or most other things.. There's no 100% in life, really.

herp derp, it's not like you can't get them bitches to strip naked and put their clothes and bags inside your gas chamber.

Just joking of course, I lol'd irl because I gave the worst advice ever.

Well, it really wasn't a bad case. We pretty much fumigated my room ourselves. And I haven't seem em yet. We sprayed the matrices today also, so I'm sleeping in there tomorrow.

And we are not nasty as fucks at all.

I don't think they meant to call you a nasty fuck :o

I'm glad your problem is deal with, I just looked over the web page in the first post. Scary stuff :(

Definitely didnt mean to call you a nasty fuck or anyone you live with.

The Hotels way of getting it kinda covered in my mind getting them from other places.

I guarantee you they're not gone; just hiding, waiting for the opportune moment! -tinfoil hat-

What if they came from your neighbors, and your neighbor has aids. We had them 2-3 years ago. We had to throw out all our beds and buy new ones, and we had to gas our house with anti-bed bug potion stuff.
