I remember this idea being said a few times, but now with the update coming (p < 0.01 that it wont happen) we could be looking at some more activity. Just wondering if we should do some "talking-up" of SRL, for example a thread with screenies of peoples botting accomplishments, a vid on youtube that we can post places, other stuff like that (can't think of anything else).
I think we have a lot of botting success stories, heaps of stuff has changed lately, and SRL probably has little to no public reputation anymore. Now with these success stories, Simba, Reflection, Python, development for OpenGL, SRL stats, MSI, almost 0 bans this whole time, and so on…if we pushed it, we could probably change the way a lot of people think about us which would encourage them to join/stay around longer, which in the long run is more activity and more people knowing about us.
Cause at the moment, we're still a "special" community but its kind of hidden from the public/new users. If new people came to SRL, saw a link saying "See what we can do without bans" and opened a thread showing party hats, 99's, and so on, it would at least put us on the same level as the java bots :p. I also think the move to python will get a lot of interest across the cheating community..and we've got heaps of stuff like stats.
I dunno, activity will increase by itself naturally, but if we have a few stickied threads explaining where we're at, what we can do, and so on, it would probably make more activity. "I went back to the SCAR-bot forums and they can get phats and 99's without bans and stuff come look" as opposed to "I went back to the SCAR forums and they're still as bad as they were".
tl;dr Ideas to promote/talk-up SRL in preparation for the assumed influx of activity when this update happens. :)
