As some of you may know, there is an RTS (Real-Time-Strategy) game called Age of Empires in which you can create your own AIs (computers to play against).
The scripting language for the AIs is really simple and can be picked up in a couple of hours. The rule-based programming is pretty high-level (and sometimes restrictive) but the end-result is a completely different opponent.
It is more common for people on sites such as aok.heavengames.com to pit their AIs against each other instead of humans. This provides for a programmer vs. programmer competitive arena using an already popular Microsoft game.
This alone seemed like it would be pretty fun for all us human-imitation people at SRL, but I of course had to bring the cheating aspect to this friendly AI scripting world. I created a utility that will replace the game's default AI inside of Microsoft's archive in the game's data with yours, allowing you to use your AI in multiplayer situations.

This can be quite a fun community and the competitive programming aspect seems to be a perfect fit for many SRLers. Hope to see your around!
