F2P Pure, what's good?

Hey I got my 11 year old sister to start playing Runescape because we are both on winter break. She completed a decent amount of achievements and got a basic idea of the game so far.
I was planning to make her make the account a F2p pure. What types of pures are good for F2P PKing, tell me some ideal stats for a good PKer.
Thanks,
YoHoJo

Range/2-h 'er is the best. 40 att/80+ str/80+ range

Yea I've heard those were good about a year ago, and not much has changed, so I guess range/2h are pretty good then still. Thank you very much. Any other suggestions anyone?
Basically 40att, max range and strength?
I lol at the though of like range, range, range, range TWO HANDER BLAM IN YO FACE!

I tremble at the thought of making combat skills that high on free to play.

Would it be that big of a deal if the defense level accidentally got to 5 and magic level got to 2? :D

Just make another account? because it affects the cb lvl(partially)

Level 5 magic won't affect CB Level, except the hp exp but tbh that's probably not large enough to be a very big deal. As for the 2 defense, there are situations where it will give you an extra cb level, it's really up to you if it's a "Big deal" or not.

i think its gravite 2h(but i don't think its easy to get, needs like high lvl dungeoneering)

You'd have to get 64 dungeoneering to get g2h. :/

for a new f2p account, thats a lot of money.

if you got the strength and range up and then trained mage on non combat skills you could have the option of range or mage with a 2h with the same combat.
KingKong
2010-12-21 23:16:58
That would work, but it would still require a large amount of cash(which is hard to get without any other skills, esp. on a new f2p account)

I think you should just get her what Mormon said, thats the best for F2P.

Botting your levels has cash as a byproduct… just get some sort of resource gathering skill botted to 80's.

You say cash is byproduct, I say exp is a byproduct, its all good either way. botting is basically the only way, besides G.E. manipluation to make REAL money these days

range R2H would have to be the best and most effective overall pker in f2p, but there is nothing wrong with just a ranger for low levels (cb level 30s) :)

It sounds like it's her first time playing. Why not let her do some quests, level skills, create her own account. PKing might not be her style of fun. Anyways OT.. Range 2h would be a great pure. Dungeoneering rewards is a big part of pking now, so might as well train that too. She should have no problem with cash, looting big bones (and even regular bones) will create a very good cash pile for f2p by 60+ stats. Thing to remember when you PK is to have fun.

Perhaps you should buy her a PHP book for christmas? (or LOGO, then she can move a frog around the screen ;))
Guys, how about a mage pure?
E: And yes, I would def recommend you create another account for her and emphasize that it could get banned. At least then, she can't lose 'her' account.

She's 11 :p Simba isn't a bad idea, though.
Or you could throw her under the bus and try to teach her python… she could be one of the first of the next generation of SRL scripters!

Python is a good idea too, although she'll probably lose interest because its basically used for nothing simple(python was the first language that i learned, but soon lost interest in it because i didn't find a use for it in day to day stuff, simba on the other hand has a lot of uses and its easy to learn)

For a PK'ing pure (what's the point in any other kind? Never understood the draw of skillers since the trade limit was established) I've always been a fan of a 45/99/40 melee, with 99 Magic for those runners and for magic resistance, and 43+ Prayer to just piss people off (does prayer still negate half damage in PvP? Haven't PK'ed in 3+ years). A 45Att/99Str/40Def/43Pray/99Magic/1Range with 99HP would only be CB 88, so you could have a lot of fun with the non-pures at that level.

Also, this. My main had probably the derpest (yeah, I said it) allocation of skills I've ever seen, but I did all of my questing and 'fun' stuff on it; then I used pures for PK'ing. But that was many years ago; when I started back this time around, I made a new main/PK'er combo. I did the math so that after all of the quests my Defence would be no higher than 40 (If you go into Dragon Slayer with 33 Def, you'll level up to 40 for finishing) and my Attack no higher than 45.
Long story short, I'd say see if you can make a PK'ing Main for her. Best of both worlds.

:x well that's a bit silly, don't you think? Simba is an interpreter, python is a programming language. It's not really a fair comparison, no matter what you compare. And I use python daily, but that's because of pymml/spyrl. :p (Also, Google uses a simple stuff in python for their search engine. Python is used for quite a few big things.)
How'd you get her to play? ;p
KingKong
2010-12-23 18:23:28
For big things yes, but as a beginner/intermediate scripter I can't really use it for much of the stuff.(Yes i know google uses python, and i don't think i would call it simple stuff in their search engine)

I disagree. MMORPGs are fun and RS is the best free introduction to it. If I had a younger sister, I'd be glad if I could go gaming with her, instead of annoying her about how I dislike Justin Bieber.
She's only 11 though, so you might want to ease her into it. Lots of 11 year olds are otherwise obsessed with DS.
