not that much ram :\, would suggest at the very least 3, 2GB is mostly for netbooks. even my 350$ laptop has 3GB of ram.

I would have got at least 4gb RAM (and 64-bit OS), other than that core i5 is pretty good, and yeah that doesn't list your gpu/hard drive etc :)

nice HDD
also ram is easily upgradeable, and your only using one so you wont need to take any out
but make sure you get the right ram and dont get any ram that is slower than you already have

thanks, so i went to this website http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/viewscanbyid.aspx?id=18B48A3131D926C3 and it told me i can get either DDR3 PC3-8500 or DDR3 PC3-10600 any suggestions as to which one i should get? and do i need buy another 2gb or can i put a 6gb with the existing 2gb?

well assuming you have a 8500 then you might as well get the 8500 as the faster one wont be any faster than the 8500 one

but if you have anything faster than 8500 then go for the 10600

EDIT: yes you can stick the 4GB in and if your getting it from there then get the 10600 as the prices are the same

you have 1333 mhz
which is 10600

so go for the 10600

there is no use in slowing down your laptop for extra ram, always go with speed over quantity (unless it something like 1gb v 16gb)
