Log on to RS.
Check G.E… nothing out of the extraordinary just a few items updated.
Log out, start simba, click play.
A few really interesting people start messaging me.
I want to continue doing nothing (botting) yet message people at the same time…

We should create some type of way to handle friend messaging while the bot continues doing it's work.

There are few ways of going about this but best (I would imagine,) would be to create some type of event handler for reflection which would have incoming messages as one of the events.

Event appears, no form open… open up default friend messaging form, something similar to AIM. The event gives the users name and message, the form takes those two and draws them appropriately.

You see that your best RS friend is asking what you are doing and etc (he doesn't know that you bot,) you don't stop your botting and simply open the form, click his name for a more specified form or expand existing form and read his message. Type in a response to the message and click send, the bot goes on doing it's crap and messages your friend the message at an appropriate time.

difficult to implement though, I have thought for a while about something like this, basically something that lets you talk into runescape. The script iself would have to be setup to call a procedure during anti-ban, and a extention could pop up the form, however I am unsure of how to get it to work. I don't know alot about extentions, and I won't be massively active for the next few weeks, cause of christmas. If anyone wants to try this, have a go.

[hijack] does any one have problems with reflection banking at akb? because it wont open for me but it can open it at vwb. im posting here bcos it wont let me create a thread until its checked by a mod or somethin[/hijack:D]

I think I read somewhere that reflection has trouble with banking at AKB, but works fine elsewhere. Just wait to see if a fix comes out.

are u sure its not color thats got problems? because it worked fine a few days ago but it suddenly stopped working

Just use Colour for opening banks.
Much more simple and works.

Then it wouldn't bank, unless you have something else setup in the script i guess?

Whatever you want it to. Where I put Whatever; is where you'd put what happens if it fails. Checks if banks open just in case, checks for randoms, logs out player if randoms not found, declares it as inactive, prints proggy, starts next player.

as for the actual thread, i have this problem a lot, but usually i solve it by just turning off friends before i start botting

a lot of people here dont like making forms, so if you perhaps make it yourself(or a rough draft atleast) then im sure more people will jump on :)

or mabye perhaps we can just use an extension? such as a remote control to do various tasks

Why dont we just make it so we can type in SMART i always woundered why its such a pain to type in smart ?

I read your post last night Feroc1ty and it really sparked my interest so I decided to attempt to make a script that fetches online friends via UpText/Friends list and eventually puts it in a form. My idea is so you can start conversations not just respond to a PM. Sadly, I'm stuck at one part(Getting the Username alone…). I'm going to post in the help section now for help (obviously) and to see if there is a better way to get online friends than the way I am doing it, witch there probably is.

Getting through text checking would be a waste of time, need to figure out hooks for reflection so you can get it with ease through an array, but it would work I suppose.

Until the hooks are found why not make a substitute, so work can be done on the form etc.

Um, iirc, Erik implemented this in his scripts first…you can make a function that pops up a readln when you press an FKey and types that. You can use timeouts and shit like that you know what I'm saying hahahahaha.

yes, but when you check for a key pressed, it checks for the SMART version of the key, which we technically aren't pressing…

Ah, yes because of the function wrappers..I don't know, because his thing worked..
