Strategy to getting 99 w/o ban?

Cstrike

Split off from my other thread… since I'm going to be doing this for quite a while, I've made my own uber script that has state of the art antiban, random actions, sleeping…etc, as human as you could get.

Nonetheless it's still not perfect, is there any way to get 99 safetly? Like only do 8 hours a day for 15-20 days instead of 12+ for 10?
Should I break up the activities? Thanks

Make sure you never fail a random is pretty much the only thing that you can't be sure about. Failing a random = pretty much going to get flagged for more to fail.

Make sure you aren't reported

What skill is it you're training?

Magic and Fletching in soulwars, so no randoms. I might fletch outside occasionally since most of Ref's randoms are done though and it'd look less botty at times.

From what I've seen it depends a lot on what skill you're going for and what method you're using. My strategy is to avoid getting reported at all cost, so I stay away from the most popular locations and methods for training and try to watch over the bot incase it messes up etc. (I end up making less money and getting slower experience, but it's worth the smaller risk IMO). It really seems to just depends on luck, as Jagex's banning system appears to be completely random. Sometimes you can get stuck doing something retarded for 12-hours and getting reported a bunch of times without getting banned, and sometimes it only takes that 1 report to get you banned.

At the moment I'm 97/99 from my 4th (and last) botted 99. I just know I'll get banned the same day I hit 99 and I'll have to start my 6 months of botting all over again.

I honestly think talking while autoing helps A LOT. I only auto when I am at my computer doing school work, other than that I don't auto. So I am in a cc talking to those people and also talking to the public doing w/e I am doing. I have 3 99s, 94 magic (not getting 99 yet), and on my way to 99 firemaking and thieving. I honestly have been using this 1 character for 1 1/2 year now going slowly but surely.

Soulwars is a bot trap. I don't suggest it.

New Account: (2010)
Fletching: I did 8hrs a day with breaks and farm runs.
Woodcutting: I did 8-12hrs a day with breaks and farm runs. (willows till 80, ivy to 99)
Herb: I did did a mix of cleaning only, unfs, and potions. 8hr runs with little breaks.

Old Account (2008 i think)
Combat: I used Harry's Cave Fighter ran for days >.<" Ended up with a 10 day ban.

I think he means the lobby, which (at least last time I checked) isn't a bot trap, although the game itself is.

So far I set myself up elsewhere until someone can confirm that the lobby is safe. Of course that doesn't mean I think mormonman or GoF are wrong, just since I'm doing this on my main I'm minimizing risks as much as possible.
My plan was autoing on world 44 adjacent to the chest so no one can report you.

It has been proven to be a banning spot, especially on worlds that are full.

What about popular places like GE or other worlds dedicated to activity X that have a bank with tons of people at it?

Don't get reported and you should be fire. (I managed to get almost 7 99's without getting banned).

I also wouldn't recommend soul wars or pc, since random people go there to report bots. Crowded places like GE are much better imo. Don't worry about randoms to much. I think they are just meant to slow bots down, not to ban them. Good luck :)

Not just random people, mods go there and have a hay day.

GE is a pretty solid place to bot.

The main trick to botting is to simply not be reported. Jagex likes to create this feel that they're actually paying attention to botters, and this is only true to an extent. They'll only really check bot hotspot, IE quickchat worlds and popular botting spots.

If you can bot where nobody can go. Example: your POH. If you don't fail any randoms, and nobody ever reports you, there's a good chance that you won't get banned.

or just be lucky that you don't get caught whenever they have those massive banning things

But theres also a good chance JaGeX are aware of those locations too

I would suggest to train ur account max. 12h a day and only bot when ur away from ur computer. Im at 98str without any problem, been botting always when im at school and sleepin, when im on computer I train without bot and on different monsters for randomness.
Also keep ur self nonreported!

Why not?

It provides tips on how to not get caught when trying to reach 99.

Who gives a fck if it was bumped, its only a 2 month thread.

I would have bumped this if i saw it.

Being able to achieve level 99 in any skill through botting alone requires a clever mix of run time, duration, and location. If people recognize you over the course of multiple days, especially at odd hours, you will likely be reported. Changing worlds and locations often is a good way to stay safe. In addition, it's always wise to vary the skills you're training.

My rule has always been to change skills every week. This forces me to change location and makes my account's stats look a bit less 'botted.'

Do they even ban accounts anymore? It's been a long time since I even heard of anyone getting banned…and I've been botting 16-20 hours a day per account for the last 6 months.

Its either they cant be bothered to do so anymore, or they can't afford to do so.

It's like when you go fishing–you never catch all the fish, just one or two really unlucky ones.

There're too many bots out there now to ever ban them all, but I have a feeling they're still passing out as many bans as they can to whomever they can find. Which is why we need to make sure they find the RSBotters first ;)

Do you really have to go that crazy on all of this extra stuff?! Just use common sense and auto smart. Just don't mess up randoms, and don't do anything that seems wrong/botty.

I have 12 accounts with 65+ mining all from my PMS script which does nothing special at all, no uber special neat antiban, just regular antiban stuff, and good failsafes.

As long as the script doesn't do anything completely idiotic and you don't auto for crazy amounts of time you should be just fine.

TomTuff

2011-02-16 21:09:54

If being banned is a serious concern for you, don't bot. If you want a skill to be level 99 with a 100% guarantee of not being banned, don't bot. It's simple.

Or just bot and never play 'legit.' That way you don't care if you get banned.

Agreed, they are really scrounging for money wherever they can at the moment.

Smartzkid

Taking extra good care of your bots is common sense, especially as they get to higher levels. I may not care if I lose one, two, even ten level 55 skillers. However, I would cringe if I lost one of my 90+'s. By that time, you've put a lot of time and effort into the bot, and it becomes worth it to spend a bit of time planning out each run.

PS: AFAIK Jagex just received a huge amount of funding; they're not really short on cash at the moment.

Nose Smasher

2011-02-27 14:11:25

The point of botting (at least here at SRL) is look as humanly as possible… If you look human you are human…

@Smartzkid, they would only get extra funding if they were low on cash ;)

I don't get how someone can report you though, you might just be autoing in there cos you cba with randoms and you might have public chat turned off :)
