What do you think is the best MMORPG/RPG game (besides RuneScape, of course)?

I liked Oblivion, but it had a long way to go before reaching the 'ultimate RPG of all times'-title. Too much walking in it, and even though you ran around killing everyone you saw, Tamriel still though you were the one who were to save them all. I still used over 300 hours on it though :o
I absolutely loved Gothic II, but the combat system were too hard.

Final Fantasy 3 American(or 6 Japanese) had the best story ever. I wish they'd redo it for the PS3. <3

Best RPG is any table top RPG

DnD or Kingdoms…

Although the Elder Scrolls series is still by far my favorite computer one.

Diablo II for sure, can't wait till III comes out.

I'm getting final fantasy XIV for christmas, i really really really just can't wait :3

Oblivion is already mentioned, so..
Mass Effect 1&2, Fallout 3&Vegas, Dragon Age, Fable 2.
In that order.

Well… MMORPG = Massive Multiplayer Online RPG, so… xP
But yeah… I agree.. Could you change the title to MMORG/RPG instead of RPG? :)

Shadowrun & the TES series.

Runescape, nothing comes before it nor after it.

But in reality I like maplestory, and Fina lFantasy, and POKEMON!!!! But I still fucking play runescape.

Starfleet Battles… Imagine Risk.. now make the playing field 50x as big, and make your troops space ships. The game itself can really be as big as you and your friends want to make it. Since it is turn based, it is something that can be played via emails or pms.

To be quite honest Runescape is quite sub-par to even free options out there; the graphics are mediocre, the grind is absolutely terrible. The want to script for the cheating community is the only reason I came back to it. It's more fun than the game so far.

But to answer the thread; I'd have to say the "best" in my opinion would be Anarchy Online, as I have a soft spot for scifi games:p

Love TES series. I will try any RPG out there really, it's all I enjoy playing. Is there any good F2P MMORPG's that someone would recomend?

Hero Online, League of Legends (I'm not quite sure if it fits the category thought, its like WC3), Allods Online (Played for some time, takes a long to level up, and not much possibilities for color bots).
