SRL Devs are given SSRL upon recieving Devship. Could this possibly be extended to the Reflection Devs as well. We are already looking to bring in other reflection Devs into SSRL.

Thoughts comments and suggestions.

Take a minute and think about who all the Ref Devs are, and see if you still think this should happen.

Personally I say no.

I, personally, feel that NCDS has a valid point. However, if we want to resolve this issue you could just poll the devs you feel should be granted SSRL. If you make a good case as to why a certain reflection dev should be SSRL, included that the user has some activity and contributions, then your poll should have a good chance.

Rather than letting every Tom, Dick and Harry in; it would be much more beneficial if we just stuck with the system we have in place right now. Rather than creating another rule and finding exceptions for it (J_Piz or whoever).

I agree.

I cannot honestly say that all of the reflection developers deserve SSRL. But I would not be adverse to them getting a specific title. It is getting more formal as time progresses. Most of them do good work, some more then others.

Not to mention, the stuff that they are doing right now takes a lot more work than doing things such as writing scripts. You would be suprised how much work goes into the functions to make them simple to make scripts from. Its a lot of thought and time.

I can agree with what you saying I sit in the Reflection channel on IRC and watch the Ideas fly around. There's is alot of progress being made.

No.

Care to elaborate. Also I originally made this thread due to the number of people suggesting that Pyroryan needed to be let in due to him being the person that keeps reflection updated with the latest RS.

SSRL is about maturity and to some extent scripting skills. It's also often about longevity as that often defines maturity here. If someone is chosen to be SRL Developer, they are (arguably sometimes it seems now) mature. Therefore they are also accepted in the SSRL rank. An important point here is that SRL Developers are chosen mainly by the staff plus active SRL Developers. SRL Reflection developers are chosen by reflection developers. That's the difference. Developers Developers Developers Developers…

I can see where your coming from. Thanks For elaborating. Nava2 put out there possiblity of giving them A title. That doesn't sound Like to bad of an Idea.

Agreed with Balmer. Part of the reason for devs being auto SSRL was that I needed a larger group of people to choose SSRLers than just mods and admins.
