I've been learning the pascal for a little while now. (not scar) I'm looking for a tut on making forms and I'm also looking for more commands (along with "uses")

I'm using Free Pascal as my compiler.

If anyone knows any links or can personally help me, I would really appreciate it.

Yea, I saw his. But his is for Scar. I'm using a real pascal compiler called free pascal.

You'll just have to plain write it, or use delphi or someother object-pascal languages.

Hate to sound nooby…but what exactly is Pascal used for?
(other than SCAR, of course)

Pascal is a programming language… it makes programs. Pascal isn't used for SCAR. SCAR's code is in the Pascal syntax.

@WhoCares Even though this was over a month ago, Delphi has a form already made when you open it.

Yes, I know all the stuff about Scar using Pascal syntax. And I have gotten Delphi Il*cough*legaly. I've been practicing now. Thanks for the info, though.

Pascal doesn't have GUI, If you wish to code for winbloze you should use DELPHI.

Pascal is used for command line programming, It's low level programming language, but it compiles and runs alot faster than high level programming languages ;-)

The main con of pascal over c++ is that c++ has STL (standard template library) which contains alot of functions that you have to code for yourself in pascal.

So again, try Delphi if you want to write/create winbloze applications or switch to C++.
