I have been working on a Falador Smelter for the past day and I came upon a little issue. When developing my cooker I learned, when you gain a level you have to click to continue, but then you go back to cooking without having to click again. This is not the same for smelting unfortunately, I have been working with for loops but they aren't working well for me as the player usually stands for an extra 5 - 8 seconds waiting(for the bars to smelt) when the bars are all done. I have tried using Me.Interacting but it seems that the player is only interacting while the smelt menu is up. What is a good substitute for what I am trying to do?
Basically I want something that will tell me if I am still smelting.
The current code doesn't work, if you un-comment the chunk of code and re-comment the Me.Interacting stuff, it is quite stable, just takes a little longer than I wish it did while smelting.
Built using FSM ideologies, so it is very stable, I love this new way of scripting. Just start in the bank, or in the furnace room. You do not have to organize your bank at all as it will search for the items flawlessly.

Look for animations.
In addition, you can always call the ClickToContinue; function if you think that it comes up
I'd do a repeat loop that checks every 8 seconds if the smelting animation occurs, and in that loop also have ClickToContinue; in case it comes up. In addition, break out of the loop as soon as R_CountItemID (ore stuff here…) < 1.
If you don't know the animation you can get it from RSBot, debug it yourself (if you want to do this we can help), or just use "If animation > 1 then…", though I don't advise that way

Can you post your current function/procedure for smelting please?

I would wait until the OreID doesn't exist,

I have the ClickToContinue part, works great. I will look into animations later(too tired…), this sounds like a awesome way to see if i'm still smelting with decent accuracy though. Once this script is done I will apply for SRL Standard member, will work flawlessly when the time comes to test it :D

Nice job
BTW I think a mixture of BadBoy's and my idea would make your smelting flawless in that aspect.
If you want to apply w/ members with this script, I recommend somehow jacking it up to 700-800 lines. Make it perfect. Make it (as flawless) as you can. It should be able to run for 5+ hours when done right if no randoms bother it ;) Spend time on an epic progress report and you're set.

Another failsafe is to count the number of items in the inventory and if it doesn't change within a certain amount of time, restart the smithing loop.
