Hi guys, i need help deciding which torrent client is the fastest. Don't tell me that the speed depends on the seeders/leechers/max speed blah blah. I already know the speed depends on that.

I need to know which is the fastest client assuming that all these are the same, and one was to download a same file from a same website.

All torrent clients are pretty much the same it really does only depend only on seeders.
They all download torrents and use pretty much the same methods, it all depends on seeders. It also depends on your internet subscription (pay more = faster max speed).

You can download the same torrent in different clients and you will pretty much get the same exact speed.

I did vote for utorrent however because it has a very minimalistic and straight forward interface but gets the job done (And if you wish to fine tune any settings you have the option to). It is also a very small program and comes with exactly what you need, a torrent client, without any extra shit-ware.

I used to use Vuze back when it was Azureus, but since then they have made many changes and turned it into a torrent client/video player/a bunch of extra shit.

It's nice that it comes bundled with all of those extra things, but I prefer other programs to do those tasks and don't need all of the extra bloat.

I've used utorrent for years and I love how it is a small, powerful program that has all of the features a torrent program should without any extra booshyt.

Apparently some people don't allow BitLord to connect to them. Thats what I've heard though, never confirmed it.

When im first first started using torrent was around 2002 where if im not mistaken i used windows ME with pentium 3. Bittorrent and Bittornado run very fast without lag compared to azureus. Then utorrent came out, it did pretty well too. However with today pc built and code optimization and different OS built i can say that there is not much different in terms of speed or cpu usage if that what are you refering to. This is off topic but now im just sticking to direct download since its much faster and reliable by using jdownloader.

Transmission for GNU/Linux and/or Mac.
uTorrent is still the best for Windows, but its development has gone to crap recently with all the adware they keep adding.

If you are in any private communities or semi-private communities, make sure whatever client you chose is on their whitelist.
