Picking Portable External Hard Drive for My Wii

Tomorrow is cyber money and my winter break is in two weeks.
I'm looking to buy a 250G - 320G (Maybe even 500G if it's cheap enough) portable (meaning no power adapter needed) external Hard Drive for my Wii.

Here is a list of drives that work for the Wii sorted by capacity:

I've got my eyes on a Western Digital My Passport, small and cheap.

Does anyone have any experience with any drives listed in the link above?
(Preferably one with a decent number of votes in the 'confirmed' column?)
Or just in general know any companies that make reliable external hard drives?
Links to product and cheap prices appreciated!

Thanks,

I just want portable because it's more convenient. Why have the Wii and HD plugged in when the Wii can power the HD, and less wires that way too, and portable is just smaller.

I've never heard of LaCie, looks like a raft:

careful of those usb-powered ones. They have been known to burn out usb ports and bust sheevaplug psu's :|

You could always buy a HDD and an enclosure separately and make any drive an external one. From the looks of it all you need is a case with USB connectivity?
