Security.sex currently turned off by default?

I think Security.sex should be turned ON by default.

The problems I see are:
1) Firewall requests when user is AFK
2) More popups and harder to manage.

Solutions to problems:
1) Ship Simba with a default whitelist containing villavu, scriptmanager (current SRL stats), and some other default SRL-related stuff?
2) Deal with it!

Benefits:
1) Though our community isn't filled with as many skiddies as most RS-botting places are, we still need to be cautious Simba-side. Most users here proofread scripts often, but many can slip through.
2) Make Simba safer.

Also, posted in the SRL Members section. People probably know about it in Juniors, but I do NOT want word to go around, "oh, Simba has some hole in it that allows for sending of passwords, I am going to learn how to script it, to steal accounts". Please keep this discussion private in here, "better-trusted members". Thanks.

I think this would be great, as long as it doesnt turn out to be like Vista, where running every little thing prompted you asking if you want to run it ;)
I personally always had problems with it popping up and I just disabled it. I'm a rare case though because I make pretty much all my own scripts, but it'd be great for the junior members and stuff like that.
Though, I wonder if people will just get used to it and "default yes" to every script?

I thought I set it up so you could add white lists etc. It should work :)

But all it would involve would be shipping it with the installer, and adding the necessary info into the settings.xml that is created by default.

Yes, whitelists work, but they should be enabled and shipped by default for "trusted sites" is what I am saying.

Wizzup?

I thought it had a few issues still.

I leave mine off because a lot of the time it will stop my script for random reasons. If i'm using a script from someone i don't know on the forums/isn't a member, i just scan through the function list to see if there's anything blaringly obvious such as "SendPassword", because tbh, the only people who are dumb enough to try and steal passwords here aren't smart enough to hide it.

lol.

I think this idea is great.
It makes everything smoother as the whitelist would already be there.
I've never played around with the extension, but as long as there's a way to avoid the pop ups (i guess the white list would take care of most of this) then I only see benefits! :)
