http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=58157&page=2We've all seen Ferocity making foolish flamboyant comments everywhere. Timer got pretty much
perm banned for trolling simba non-stop, and this guy hasn't yet (and he trolls the community members)? Maybe trolling is the wrong word, he flat out flames the people.
Why does the adminship accept this blunder of a forum-comer time and time again? If you want more links I WILL provide you with them.
I'm quite tired of this guy taking a dump on our atmosphere.
Reason 13
here says that "We have the best atmosphere of any autoing community." (btw I contributed it :) because I truly believe it without a doubt)
For this to be valid, we can't have idiots like this running around.
Just so you all know, I got a warning for saying the f-word once. I accept it completely because now I understand that this community is more than that. Yet at the same time, I'm confused at how Ferocity can just go around without even having been infracted off of the forums yet for not only his attitude but swearing as well. If you don't believe me, look at his reputation [let alone post history].
Therefore my question is: Was he a general oversight? Or are his posts allowed? Is his behavior tolerated? If he was warned before, why hasn't he changed… because that is a VERY recent post.
More importantly: Why has he not been banned or at the least temporarily banned?
Am I missing something?
EDIT: I was even foolish enough to confront him in one thread, I don't hold myself blameless.
EDIT2: It's not as if this is one occurrence, or even two or three… this is a lot. There's a point where it's not "oh hes just having a bad day" anymore.

And, @admins, I think it's ridiculous that you can't specify long reasons for bans/suspensions. I was just getting started, then I suddenly notice that whatever I'm typing is not appearing any more; slightly lame. Possible to fix this?

You should let Ferocity see this thread and allow him to once more appeal to everyone he can before giving him any sort of ban/suspension. This would allow him to fix his problems before they become his last words. I think that Ferocity is going through a lot of real-life problems, whether it be family problems or relationship issues, and I think that he deserves to be called out at a personal level. This would at least allow him to reason with us, and create a new approach that he should follow while browsing/contributing to this site.

He has been warned before.
Please, guys – I appreciate your concern, and it actually warms hy heart seeing you care this much for him as an individual, but I assure you that the staff has taken lots of consideration into this desicion. He has been warned regarding his behaviour and attitude numerous times, and we are indeed aware of the fact that he is going through a tough time – but that cannot weigh up for his behaviour, which he has maintained even after numerous warnings from all kinds of people, from junior memebers to staff.
Keep in mind that this is after all a suspension – not a permanent ban.

I doubt he's having any personal issues. He's generally a no-nonsense sort of guy who expects a straight answer when asking a question. What causes problems is when people don't know what they're talking about or don't know what he's looking for (as has been the case in a couple of his help threads) and respond without trying to understand.

This is the exact kind of attitude we don't need at SRL members. I *really* didn't expect such an abrupt attitude from you, makes me a bit sad to call you a fellow member. You're the exact thing this thread is targeting, especially the ignorant low blow remarks you laced in there. Completely unacceptable for this community, and even
more unacceptable coming from an SRL member.
You have the same attitude as Ferocity. Friend of his or something? IP share maybe? I hope you never make a post like that again.
EDIT: Despite the topic not being generally a negative topic, let's attempt to keep it as positive as possible :)
Thus far, ignoring the above, we have ideas that he may have problems in real life. If he can provide these and show that he will change for the better I have no problem welcoming him back. As long as he's here to promote the community.

I'm glad for his suspension. I hope that his 2 week break will let him cool off and maybe get a better idea of how he should act towards people in general. If he acts the same way to people in real life as he does on these forums, then he's one of those people I wouldn't talk to much. Every time I've interacted with him, even if i was wrong and he was right (although there weren't many right/wrong incidents), he would take an incredibly snarky attitude with me. He reminds me of my self when i was a new member of villavu. I got a 2 week suspension for posting a certain picture in a "creepy picture thread," and after that 2 week break I came back with a whole different attitude. I hope the same thing happens for him.

Never try to pull off something like that. Opinions are opinions, and that is all they will be. The point of the post that you responded to had a simple interest in the way that you carried yourself as a member on this site. In my opinion I agree to it, I feel that you are a bit too attached to this community (I was too in my early stage of SRL). Now that is just my opinion, and an opinion is all it will be. You have an opinion that every SRL member on this site should be positive, that they should never curse, and that we shall all follow the rules and script for the good of the future, that is just you. Do not attempt to demote somebody because they hurt your feelings or did not match up to your standards, that in my case, is even more sad then anything else. CStrike you are a strong scripter, I have yet to see a powerful color script from you, but I have seen you do some success' with reflection. Pull what exactly? I don't follow, nor do I understand the correlation with my scripting ability and this stuff
What I did was in response to a spiteful comment. Last thing people in life should do is roll over and take other peoples BS. Likewise, my opinion is it has no place in this community, and I'm even more against it because the attitude also leaks into other things that make this community generally uncomfortable.
Possibly I am too attached to this community, it's one of the last places on the net that I've seen which I'd be proud to say "this is what the human race is capable of". The same attitude that curses everything in life is cropping up here. Negativity breeds negativity. If you do not believe the comments were snarky, I don't know what to say. Imagine if someone would ever say that to our admins like RM/Wizzup…etc, wouldn't end well.
In fact, I'm going to follow Camaro's lead, please do the same with me– was hoping this topic would slowly die out as it is truly negative in nature and is breeding it. I shall speak no more on the matter. I don't hold it against him, nor will I forget it. I'll invoke the ignore list further to prevent anything like this happening again so we can return to what I feel is where we should be. I figure the prevention > cure rule applies here, even if it's at my dear loss of his exhilarating posts.
To re-rail: I personally have no problem with Ferocity rejoining the community, if he brings a positive attitude and leaves the shots at the door, he's welcome in my arms.

Sometimes a bit of negativity is needed, especially when people are being "too" positive. And you also wouldn't know your own opinion unless there was someone to argue it with. So I'd say no he didn't cross any line, and that the line is a figment of your imagination. :p
He's made another account and is still flaming. You would actually know that if you wasn't having a hissy-fit to cstrike who is trying to help. Just IP ban Feroc1ty (Feroc2ty) and get it done with.

Stop bringing up the issue. Stop beating the dead horse.
We're past that point,
stop beating the dead horse. No, for the last time I'm
not better than anyone, ask the people that I make scripts for. I consistently tell all the applicants I talk to and everyone I script for that were all equal. I treat no one differently unless they do something consistently wrong. I felt that ferocity needed a check or at least a punishment for constant violations of the rules, which are there for a reason. For the last time because now I'm beating the dead horse again, I call a violation when I see it.

It involves the community, I'd just seem like the lonely drummer blowing his horn. Based on the way people have constantly been saying "I'm sick of your attitude" at Ferocity, others would be able to share their feelings. After all, should we not be able to? We are a community after all… right?
Look at what this thread did, we got people like IceFire and Method posting valid counter arguments to my stuff. They did it in a professional manner– straight to the point, no bull, no personal attacks…etc. Can you follow the same suit? Let alone stay on topic?
Get the idea out of your head that I want to be a mod, frankly I don't care if you think I'm trying to be one.
I already can do everything that I want to, which I post here, make scripts and enjoy the community. Modship does

Goal was to bring in a call from the community, but ensure the admins get attention as well. Carry a bit more weight, get it done in one shot. As we have seen, already went slightly under the radar [to no fault of any admins though, they're probably in work up to their eyeballs].
IMO significant attention was brought in, better to be stronger than weaker when we try things, no? ;)

from what i know/ seem of him, just answer his questions with logic, and provide facts/ evidence/ source, and he wont have any problem with you. we're all so used to just having a mindless discussion, he wants knowledge and logic

you and him where reffering to two different things. he assumed you had no idea what he(and you) where talking about. he assumes AI is only auto responding(he was on that topic anyways), and he was not aware you where reffering to human like antiban we can use in scripts(or something like that, havent read the thread to much).
yes, it wasnt nice of him to say your retarded, but other than that it was a mis understanding. i doubt he ever posted in that thread to start an argument, but this is all obviously just my opinion :)

Are you retarded? Do you even know what A.I. stands for, if not why the hell even quote me? You just made yourself look like a clueless dipshit.
Excuse me, stop defending that guy, he is a real pain in the butt… Crap attitude, stupid comments, always looking for a stupid conflict..
I'll never vote yes on his application no matter how much he actually betters, just because of the first impression he gave.

Of course if it was a one off, that's always forgivable. We do have bad days indeed, but consistently having "bad" days can't be good.
Furthermore on his application, if he gets members while feigning to be nice… what if he reverts to his old self? Not saying he is doing that, but just being realistic.

do we have an idea on how old he is? He kinda acts like a spoiled brat junior high school kid, but if he was on the cheating scene in 2006, there is 4 years there. He has to be at least in high school then? Why hasn't he had the crap beaten out of him multiple times? Maybe he has and hasn't learned anything from it? Or he is physically huge… Probably (at least amplified by) internet tough guy syndrome?

I've been trying to tell myself that this post wasn't written in a serious tone so I could give you more credit, but I don't think I can do it. The sheer ignorance and blasphemy your post displays is astounding, and I certainly hope you're not
actually trying to suggest that Feroc1ty has a "mental deficit" or is pretending to be a tough guy on the forums to compensate for something else in his life.

1) no, it should not have swear words.
2) i only see it when there is a mis understanding, other than that he is just honest. i understand that he's being rude, my argument is that hes not looking for it, and every one needs to chill out.
all he needs to do is learn to be tolerant of misunderstandings.
or an other possibility is that he can be a troll, hoping to piss you guys off(which would mean its working). then just ignore him when he "lashes out", instead of being all "god i hate you and your attitude and your not getting into SRL members", and eventually he will get tired of it
orrr, you guys can just get along and learn to deal with people, :D

IIRC he said he actually has problems IRL and someone mentioned he has an actual condition that causes him to be that way. I don't know him IRL so I can't validate this
@Awkwardsaw
Sounds fair enough :)

I don't see how it is far fetched for him to have something like bi-polar disorder. A Mental handicap is more politically correct maybe? I'm also confused how it is
blasphemous… It may be ignorant, but that just expresses a lack of understanding, which I will not disagree with.
As for "internet tough guy" maybe I was using it too broadly. I would include "internet rude guy" or "internet ignore common social courtesy guy" under the same lump, but that's my bad for being to broad with the term. I don't think I ever suggested he was trying to compensate for something. Maybe you're seeing a connotation in my writing that I'm not though.

Perhaps blasphemous wasn't the correct choice of word. I was going for "the throwing around of accusations that are blatantly incorrect or are made without any evidence or knowledge of the situation".
As for his age, he mentions high school in the past tense in his application (on page 2), so I don't think he's as young as you all are assuming.

Since when have we become so leniant on people? We have lost our edge SRL and I am very disappointed. We used to take these things much more seriously and now we are just like eh?????
Returned from a ban? Used to be insta perma ban
Flaming? Infractions to susp to temp ban?
What the heck happened guys? We have a set rules and we cant just be bending them because apparently he contributes. We have grown soft and community is weakening because of it.
Simply put he violated TONS of rules. Ban his ass and be done. G'damnit.

If I understand right (note: on multiple medicine's atm for this damn illness) if this topic
even still concerns Ferocity or whatever his name was. We suspeneded him and he created another account to get around it. Then apparently a third account?
The point I am trying to get at is that in our rules that avoiding bans or having multiple accounts is a highly punishable offense, not just a slap on the wrists… We used to perma ban people for much less.
EDIT: So apparently everything around here has changed since I have been on. I just reread the rules page and having multiple accounts is just an infract now?
Same with avoiding a ban??? What happened guys? This is insanity. I know we were crunched on new members but cmon that is no reason to go soft on rules.
Anyways if those are the rules I'm out of this thread. I still have way too mean of an attitude towards keeping these forums clean to follow these rules at the moment.

SRL has allowed numerous rule breakers who were banned to come back into the community. I don't see how this is any different, especially when he was only temporarily banned (and for something much less dramatic than account stealing or something similar).

but now we just give an infraction for returning from a ban. The rules change. (Don't get me wrong, I'm with you ).

3 infraction points results in Temp ban,
6 infraction points results in perma ban.
If you already start off with an infraction, either you stay in line or that temp ban hammer hits you pretty early. ;)

If he continues then it won't be long til the Permanent Ban Hammer hits any way as RM already Explained. As far as the multiple account thing. I'm totally with you on that. If a new account is created it should be banned immediately.
