Can Simba run effectively on ubuntu (not with wine) or is that stupid interpreter shit in the way? (Like a SRL script, not just open up)

Also, you were running a SRL script?

Why would you put Vista on rather than W7? Just curious. I assume it's because you had the legal Vista copy and not a legal W7 copy, which is a lame excuse. :p
And it still doesn't work great on Linux; it works though.. kinda. I can't remember if I got anything to work. In Wine it will obviously work, though.

its cuz my laptop prolly couldnt run 7…and there is something seriously wrong with it. Ive tried to install other versions of xp and vista and none work except the cd that came with the laptop, which is odd because I have installed other versions of windows on it before, its just something that recently happened. This laptop is two years old, im in teh process of saving up to build my own pc.

Oohh. Well fair enough. I'm sure there's a way around it but whatever. Good luck with the build. Once I get money for it, I'm planning on doing that too. :) Mind telling me how it goes if you remember? :3

at the rate im going you might get the money before I do :p I have somewhat of a idea right now but at the rate things change I will probably have a different set up by the time I get the money, so yea you might need to tell me how it goes for you! haha

:p I'll let you know. I was planning on buying an extremely cheap build that I wouldn't use for virtually anything, most likely.. Maybe just storing files and stuff but nothing else (usually), and then also a good and hopefully expensively awesome build later once I know I won't mess it up too bad at least. :p
Anyway, back on topic.. Did you try it Aaron?

The interpreter doesn't work properly to my knowledge. It can do some basic things, though. All the other features in Simba should work fine.
Mopar doesn't host Simba, but he does build nightly builds of Simba and those are on his server.

Is cross platform one of your top priorities now or is it on the bottom of the list?
@luffs
No, I'm going to run it through Wine now.

It is one of the top priorities, always has been. Issue is with the interpreter not simba.
