So I've hopped back into the autoing community, this time to begin learning programming languages.
Anyway, I wanted to know the major differences between Simba and Scar. So I searched Simba vs Scar on google and as you can imagine, all I got were websites with Simba and Scar fighting or something like that.
Could someone tell me what the major differences between Simba and Scar (No Lion King references please).
Also, why was simba developed in the first place? What happened to SCAR?
Simba is open source and developed by members of the SRL community, and is therefor more customized for SRL's needs.

They're both almost the same and are fairly interchangeable. I'm not sure which extensions for Simba do stuff that SCAR cant, but I'm sure there are a few. Other than that, whichever one you like better will do.

AFAIK Simba was open source and not as restricted as Scar. Of course I use 'restricted' wrongly here, I can't find the right word. They're pretty interchangeable though for the most part. Simba feels more comfortable to me though for some reason, though I like SCAR's green comment text color.

With SCAR, all of the new versions after 3.15b, have become more and more buggy, so there's now Simba, which has hardly any bugs.
Simba was created because of the amount of SCAR's bugs, the fact that SCAR is closed source, and only Freddy can modify it, and some other reasons.

You can change the colours back, you know. ;)

I'm going to find this bug ;) I like all the Lazarus (sp?) stuff, just I wanted to change the comment blue to a bold green, but I cant stand the pink scar thing so I switched back to normal. Simba's red and blue work out pretty good anyways.
