Yes. Do curse/weaken/confuse until 55 (or 99 if you only wanna spend like 2m.. make sure you use a mud staff) and then alch the rest of the way. Confuse at level three, weaken at 11, curse at 19.

Thanks ian. always very helpful.
1-3 just normal spells…?

I was thinking of making a cursing script that would log out if humans are near based on reflection… that way you'd pretty much never get reported.

No problem. :)

Yew longs still the best thing to high alc?

No. Alchprices.com. You can profit/break even with a lot of stuff. :)
And yeah, 1-3 just do air strike with a bunch of armor on rats or something. :p

no, do it on something high level that's caged so you don't hit, with full iron, use runes instead of staff for no invisble +3 to magic level. I would say to wind strike the lesser demon in the tower, but they are weak to magic so just find something else high level you can safe spot.
also, the new spell wind blast something or other that costs just 2 air runes might work well.

I wouldn't suggest doing combat spells. They're MUCH more expensive. Cursing to 99 costs about 2-3m, and alching can even profit.

For 1-3 I would wear full iron/bronze WITHOUT a staff. Use the lowest lvl air spell their is.

Really does not matter.. :p Even without armor and a staff you can't get enough exp to level hp.

Well the title says 10hp. Any hp experience will be bad.
i luffs yeww
2010-10-27 23:00:06
10 hp with 1,154 exp is the same thing (to RuneScape) as 1,357, so it really doesn't matter imo.
But really, it doesn't matter. Do it however you want. :p

ah idk if i should stay a bad ass skiller or lvl 50ish with 99 magic.. what you guys think?
i luffs yeww
2010-10-28 00:04:05
I'd say skiller. Once you start getting mage up you will most likely want to get hp/other stats up. I've tried many times but fail. :p
Up to you though. Level three with 99 mage is way cooler than level 50 with 99 mage.

You need -65 magic attack to always fail spells.
i luffs yeww
2010-10-28 00:26:10
You don't need to always fail if you confuse/weaken/curse/high alch. :)

But it certainly goes a lot faster.
And you are better off super heating. Faster exp, more profit, smithing EXP.

i just meant for 1 - 3 so you get no health exp

Is there anything in game that can be alched for profit on the way to 99 that isn't something insanely unattainable like 300,000 steel chest plates for example?

198k i think they can be easy to get because they are highly used in smithing to 99.

I would suggest this, best xp, go mine some of the ore, then superheat it, getting mage and smithing xp
???????
Profit

There's a couple f2p quests that can get you to about 10 mage, and give no hp xp. I don't remember which ones off the top of my head, but I know Imp Catcher is one.

If I remember, there's a monk in Varrock Palace that's caged under the main stairs, that's good for cursing as newbie. Alching though is much less work when you get to the higher levels. If you're mems, Camelot teleports also used to work well.
Curse/Alch all the way not really hard i guess? :P

Or you can just wear full iron without staff and ammy. Then just cast some wind strikes. You will never hit but you gain mage xp.

well I found a better and more accurate alching website that actually uses the mid prices not the min (
high alchamy calculator)
I hope that can help you decide on what items you shall buy for alching :) It also shows you the limit of what you can buy before the 4 hour cap thing comes into play ;)

This is a very fast way to gain some xp. Do this all the way until level 55 or whatever high alch is. (It's what I'm currently doing 22-27 in about 30 min maybe less)

If u dont want to raise even 1 level, just do soul wars tills u get 55lvl in magic and then start to alchem
if you got a stable and private cursing script, you can get 1-99 within a month easily.
1. Do imp catcher quest.
2. Do confuse/weaken spells till 55.
3. High alch your way to 99 ;)

What's something good to high alch? I'm currently superheating steel bars and they don't lose to much money, and they get some nice smithing xp :)

Alching is overrated and costly these days, unless you craft gold bracelets then alch them. While your alching the gold bracelets, you can also station yourself in the monastery and pick up monks robes or even farm herbs, that way your alching with profit. I would also suggest superheating steel bars then selling them. If you want to make a profit, you can make the steel bars into cannonballs when your done. If you just want to get really fast xp, you can try stun-alching on an elemental balance in a POH, that way you don't have to wait for the stun effect to wear off before casting it again. All of these methods don't require any hp :)

LITTLE FYI!!!
you can do "Witch's Potion" quest for only magic experience so you don't have to do any kind of combat spell that will raise hp… Good Game.

Lol i did air rush from 1 to lvl 25 on monk of zamorak, took an awful lot of time.
Just do the quest with the beads. Gets you like 9 mage and the beads can be bought for 2k.

this looks promising. you could make 600+ gp per alch on some items, nice find. thanks. will most likely use this in the future (:

Am I being really silly or just plain stupid?
Mystic Mud Staff requires 40 attack.
Mud Battlestaff requires 30 attack.
So how do you use the Mud Staff?

You can still have 10 hp with 30+ attack I guess? Probably not what the OT was aiming for, so good point nonetheless.

Nah, I still agree with what was previously stated. Do the Imp Catcher quest then start using non hp-gaining spells to level. You can just buy the beads anyways, its probably faster than casting air rush or strike to level 3.

Okay, I just checked it on TIP IT.
You can get 30/40 attack and 99 magic, the attack won't effect the CB level. How can you train your attack this high to be able to use the battlestaffs, without training up health?

Dummies to 9, Vamp Slayer to ?, XP Lamps the rest of the way would be my guess.

Does VAMP slayer not involve anything that would give health exp?
I don't know cause i've never done it or read about it, and I'm very busy atm :)
edit: After reading vampire slayer..
I can't do it, as it will give me health exp :(

You can get 1k exp (lvl 9) from the lamps at the Stronghold of Safety (NOT Security), the place right below Edgeville and north of Barbarian Village.

According to the wiki, the in-combat XP against him is severely reduced to prevent players from intentionally not bringing the stake and farming XP from him; I believe it is possible to kill him with magic/melee and not get enough HP XP to level.
As for killing the small monsters in the house, you could go to a populated world and wait for other people to kill them? Not so sure how to solve that one.
Also, I seem to remember an old glitch (probably won't work anymore) where if you opened the coffin and a friend attacked the Count before he got to you, the friend could get him to 1 hp and you could stake him for the final blow. Haven't tried that one since early RS2 though. The fact that I say RS2 should give a hint as to how long ago that was.

I'm not sure if i'll bother.
I did ALL the math for getting 1-55 magic.
It's only 200k, so it's not worth the hassle of getting 40 attack just to use a mud staff!
