R0b0t1 and I were talking in the IRC and he came up with an interesting idea. Make an extension to donate a script user's CPU! There could be multiple uses for this CPU power, from donating to science to helping out SRL.
If we made an extension for this, a user or scripter could set what they would like to donate to. It may prevent leechers (or at least make them helpful) from freeloading off of our hard work.

If a user were to donate to SRL, they could help power the server, test scripts, or help other's run scripts.

Just an interesting idea, I don't know the practicality of it all though. :)

No like providing some CPU and internet power to test scripts.

Yeah, say if a user didn't have enough power or needed more to run a script, they could use another uuser's CPU. Or you could use it for scientific purposes like folding@Home.

This wont work. People will be mischievous and use the feature for bad things.

I didn't literally mean they'd seed.. But it's a similar idea, right? Kinda..

Like, perform computations. Ideally we'd want to make as little impact as possible on the internet (but the server would need to send out slices to compute). Sadly I can't think of anything.

Start an Einstein@Home team?
