Liscence?

After looking through some SMART files, I realized that there is no set license for Reflection (or SRL for that matter).

I would be in favour of the GPL, but that is my preference. In fact, since we use SMART, I think we may have to be GPL.

The only other option that jumps out at me is the LGPL. I do not think this is necessary though, since the library is only compatible with Simba. If we GPL'd, we would permanently exclude SCAR, which is not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion. Again, I am biased on this one.

TL;DR: GPL is more open, moves with the open source philosophy of SRL/Simba, LGPL allows for the project to be used with closed source applications.

E: Any other options are welcomed as well, these two just seemed the most obvious and applicable.

I'm not sure if reflection compiles with SCAR?
and if it does, SCAR is having a problem handling SMART anyways..

GPL would be the best way to go?

I see no reason not to do GPL, forgot about the SMART issue.

That wouldn't make it free software; just open.

What about CC GPL? http://creativecommons.org/licenses/GPL/2.0/

To make it compatible with Simba you would want to go with the GPL. So that has my vote.
