Hey, i havent been here in god knows how long and i was hoping if someone could bring me up to date? i left around scar 3.22, atleast that was the last version on my computer, and at that time i wasn't even botting on RS.

Can someone tell me what bonus's simba has for me apart from visual ones?
For example i can do the things on the left without the need to include includes, however they are much worse than the awesome stuff i saw in SRL towards the end of my time…

Can someone tell me whats up with SRL, everytime i try to run a script it gives me a duplciate identifier error with 'FriendChars'

Can someone tell me what SMART is or was? as i left it turned up and was like 'i'm teh bestestz' but i cant even find how to use it if its still being used…

thanks in advance, Dom (mat de b's brother)

To update you ;):
I don't know how far you are out of date, but:
We use SMART now, requires some variable set up (mess around a bit in the scripting section)
Scripts are easier than ever, make sure you get Simba. It's truly awesome

Reflection is a way for SMART to be able to get in game hooks (aka, can walk to any tile or find any NPC…flawlessly…). I wrote a HUGE guide on it (still working on it) in the tutorial section, check it out to see its power!

Sorry I know it's a bit of a short intro :(

Flawless NPC finding?! wow, thats more than rediculous?!

So how can i get hold of and put all of this into use?
is SMART a group of functions like SRL, or a new .exe completely like simba vs scar, how can i input one into the other?

On top of this, if i'm only going to be scripting in Pascal, or atleast the format that scar was in, will there be any need to get simba?

thanks for the fast reply, Dom

SMART is a window which opens, and that is where all the botting happens, allowing you to still use your PC. Read up some guides in Tutorial Island about SMART and Reflection, and you'll be sorted.

I'd recommend using Simba. It's pretty much the same coding as SCAR, with one or two minor differences (function names), and is more reliable, so definitely check it out.

Richard.

It's easy :)
1) re-acquaint yourself with SRL. Get a feel for it, be able to write a basic script, know about failsafes…etc
2) Install Simba, it will come with reflection
3) Your reflection will be out of date, but read my guide and it will show you everythign that you need

SMART is a new interface that only has the RS screen. It allows silent mouse pretty much without being detected.

ALL the stuff you need will come with simba. Look up wizzup.org, and hunt for the simba executable. If you need more help –> go to IRC :)

So, i need to uninstall Scar completely, download simba and the new SRL.

and then i download SMART which is an executable? which allows the equivalent of 'silent' movement…

will do, and then i will go look for some tut's

You'll only need the Simba installer (http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=47714). And then enable the srl updater and reflection updater. It'll get SMART, SRL and Reflection for you.

thanks for the help guys, its nice to be welcomed back rather than shunned as an oldie ;)

EDIT: 'And then enable the srl updater and reflection updater.' Can some one explain this procedure?

EDIT2: Wizzup.org, ask and you will recieve :D

If you have simba open, go to Tools –> Update and ensure you're maxed update

Once youve done that, then:
View –> Extensions
Select each one and then click "[] Enable" checkbox (those brackets were supposed to resemble a box, I know I suck ;)) to enable them. Make sure they're green

Then upon exiting, everything will update [possibly a few times]
And you're up to date!

BTW you don't have to uninstall scar, you can even keep it for the nice files it has in scripting tools [if it isnt too old]

If you want me to corrupt you straight away with reflection:
http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=59400
I'm almost done it, though it's incomplete.

Not sure about the best way to imbed this, i know there used to be some way to do it properly but for now.

This is causing errors:

program new;
{$i srl/srl/misc/smart.scar}
{$i srl/srl.scar}
{$i reflection/reflection.simba}
Var I : integer ;

Procedure DropWood;
Begin
If(Not Loggedin)Then Exit;
If(Invfull) Then
For I:= 2 to 28 Do
If(Pos('Willow Logs', GetItemNameAt(i)) > 0)Then
Begin
MouseItem(i, False);
If(ChooseOption('Drop'))Then
Wait(100+Random(150));
Status('Dropping Wood…');
End;
End;

begin
DropWood;
end.

Causing this issue: 'Error: Exception: Access violation at line 82' It then opens up the smart script/include

Simba Tags ([\Simba][\/Simba])

Cleaned Standards and IDK why you get that error

program new;
{$DEFINE SMART}
{.include SRL/SRL.scar}
{.include reflection/reflection.simba}

procedure DropWood;
var
I: integer;
begin
if (not (LoggedIn)) then

Use:

{$DEFINE SMART

Rather than manually including SMART. And don't forget to call Setupsrl;

Oh, the standards were in the script honest :D

Will try it now Wizzup

SetupSRL; Got it sorted, Thanks guys :D

What is considered the most human like group of mouse functions, for movement and clicking? SRL or the list preset in Simba?

Naike

2010-10-14 07:37:09

Mouse - Moves and clicks
MMouse - Moves
MouseBox - Moves and clicks in an area

^ Most used ones :)
They're all in SRL!

Also MouseCircle. Pretty explanatory.

Can anyone explain an iniability to use SMART after it is disabled? For example to test a piece of a script inwhich i dont want to write a login process?

On top of this, is insane CPU usage a usual thing with simba and smart? i'm talking 100% while loading and probably 80's while doinng nothing. This is on a pretty standard PC, no gaming rig, but i think its 2ghz+ single core

thanks, Dom

Is this correct coding?
Procedure WhatToDo;
Var ToDo : Integer ;

Begin
ToDo := 0
if FindObj() Then
ToDo := ToDo + 1;

If ToDo := 1 Then
Begin

End;

If ToDo := 0 Then
begin

End;

End;
i dont think it is but i dont know what to replace it with either…

Naum

Procedure WhatToDo;
Var ToDo : Integer ;

Begin
ToDo := 0
if FindObj() Then
Inc(ToDo);

Case ToDo Of
0:
Begin

End;
1:
Begin

End;
End;
End;

Like this? (typed this in the edit box)

Rich

2010-10-17 05:48:18

You could just do:

procedure WhatToDo;
begin
if FindObj(bla) then
begin

end else
begin

end;
end;

mat_de_b

Cases sound like fun :D

i tried doing the if-else procedure however it was coming up with errors, i will try again now
