How to fix audiodg.exe problem?

I'm running windows vista, and as a lot of you know, it's infected with >9000 problems. One of the most annoying ones is the memory leak in audiodg.exe which makes the process hog all my memory (atm 148532 kB of RAM.. Sometimes it goes as high as 300000 kB and then crashes)

The thing is, I can't kill the process. Or… I can kill it, but that will also stop all sound.

Is there anyone here that has had similar problems with the process who were able to fix it?

Disabling audio enhancements might help. No idea what its effect on sound quality would be though.

can be hijacked by a win32 virus

maybe its infected?

Try finding another dl for it and replace it and see if it helps.

I've had the problem since I got the computer (First day)

EC told me to get Win7, so I did

alright cool so you reformatted to W7?

That would be my suggestion as well, wasn't sure if you had access to a easy format to 7.

hmm what do you mean?

If your on Ultimate, you can download Language packages for your specific language, if that helps.
