Soul Wars

If lets say you have a skill at level 65 that you wish to use your soul wars points on, how does the exp formula work? What I'm trying to get at…

If you decide to spend all 100 points in one go, will it include potential extra experience gained from your level being higher as you spend points individually, or will it simply give you a flat experience gain from whatever level the skill you chose to level, making the 100 points option quite useless and actually a worse choice unless your skill is extremely high in level.

From: RuneHQ Forums

So, after having filled out a table of 800 numbers, I have finally figured out the formula for Experience points per Zeal point in soul wars.

I ask that for your proof, you run this against YOUR skills, and check the exp amount at the Nomad in Soul Wars. You'll find it to be extremely accurate. Word formula and regular formula below it. (Floor means round down the number you calculate in the brackets before multiplying it by the final number.)

For Attack, Strength, Defense, and HP:
Take your level, multiply it by it's self divide by 600, round DOWN to a solid number and multiply by 525.
(level*level) /600 = number ROUND DOWN *525
Floor(Lvl^2 / 600) * 525

For Range and Mage:
Take your level, multiply it by it's self divide by 600, round DOWN to a solid number and multiply by 480.
(level*level) /600 = number ROUND DOWN *480
Floor(Lvl^2 / 600) * 480

For Prayer:

Take your level, multiply it by it's self divide by 600, round DOWN to a solid number and multiply by 270.
(level*level) /600 = number ROUND DOWN *270
Floor(Lvl^2 / 600) * 270

For Slayer:
Take your level, multiply it by it's self, divide by 7.5, then divide by 45. Round that up to the nearest WHOLE number, and then multiply by 45.
((lvl*lvl)/7.5)/45 = number round UP *45
Ceiling(((lvl^2)/7.5)/45)*45

Now you can cash in 1, 10, or 100 zeal points for EXP. When you cash in 100 points, you get a 10% bonus. So the rewards for EXP are basically:

1: 1 Zeal*exp

10: 10 Zeal*exp

100: 100 Zeal*exp+10%

Example: You are level 90 Attack, and you get 6825 exp per zeal point.

1: 1*6825 = 6825

10: 10*6825 = 68,250

100: (100*6825) + 10% = 750,750 | Explanation: 100*6825 = 682,500. 10% of 682,500 is 68,250. 68,250 + 682,500 = 750,750.

Hope that helps

Win = 3 points
Draw = 2 points
Lose = 1 Point

You do the math :D

I was doing the math for your actual question (if it's worth it to exchange it in ones or tens or 100s (to answer one of your questions, no, if you go from 1 -> 5, it will only do the ten percent from 1, not for 2-5)), but I didn't save it. :/ Sorry. I'll try to get to it, because it would be kinda useful to know. Logs should do the trick. :)

Thanks for your attempt but I figured that it gives more experience every 5 levels, so it's not worth it up until around level 65, after that it becomes worth it but only if you're on a multiple of 5, unless your skill is a much higher level, ex. 80.
