Radial Aid

Hi,

I quickly wrote up a radial aid, since the old one rather huge and could be done in a much more simple manner.
AFAIK it works the same as the old one. I can't think of a reason for this one not working exactly like radialwalk, since the last time I had a look at radialwalk it used FilterPointsPie too. (That's why it was written in the first place)

program new;
var
TPA: TPointArray;
B: TBox;
V: String;
R1, R2: Integer;
Bmp: Integer;
BmpRef: TMufasaBitmap;
begin
B.X1 := 0;
B.Y1 := 0
B.X2 := 300;
B.Y2 := 300;
TPA := TPAFromBox(B);
InputQuery('Input degree #1', 'Please type the first degree', V);
try
R1 := StrToInt(V);
except
writeln('Invalid degree');
TerminateScript;
end;
V := '';
InputQuery('Input degree #2', 'Please type the second degree', V);
try
R2 := StrToInt(V);
except
writeln('Invalid degree');
TerminateScript;
end;
Writeln(Format('Degrees: (%d, %d)', [R1, R2]));
FilterPointsPie(TPA, extended(R1), extended(R2), 0, 150, 150, 150);

Bmp := CreateBitmap(300, 300);
BmpRef := GetMufasaBitmap(Bmp);
BmpRef.FastDrawClear(clWhite);
BmpRef.DrawTPA(TPA, clRed);
//BmpRef.SaveToFile('test.bmp');

DisplayDebugImgWindow(300, 300);
fastdrawclear(getdebugbitmap, clwhite);
DrawBitmapDebugImg(Bmp);
end.

Perhaps someone wants to make it a bit more pretty or turn it into an extension? But please KISS. (Keep It Simple Silly)

Didn't the old radial aid have "click" > degrees, also calculating distance, would be a good thing to add!

Click to degrees? Well that's probably a bit more complicated but not really hard to add. It'll take a form though. ;(
Calculating distance, in what way?

I'm assuming he means from your character to the point you actually clicked.

The old one could also get the RS MM……..

So instead of FastDrawClear just CopyClientToBitmap, or even just BitmapFromClient. Shouldn't be too hard. Anything else?

Yakman's one still works fine (just tested it) and the only reason its 700 lines long is because of the form and a large bitmap. No problems with changing the back end to make it more efficient and Simba/Extension compatible I guess but keep the GUI and features please.

Is there an easier way to walk big distances other than turning on the dynamic capture/refreshing the picture every time my char moves?

What do you mean? It's only like that while you are gathering data using radial walking aid.

I know reflection walking, but right now I want to try my hand at color, then maybe ddtms/tpas

Like if wanted to walk from vwb to air altar, I first have to update the pic it the aid, then get the s/e radials and color, then move it to that point then update the pic again… etc. I wanted to know if there was a faster way than using the aid.

Not with radial aid, unless someone wanted to take the time to make something that utilizes the world map. I'm not sure if the world map is on the same scale as the minimap, though.

How else would you record all the numbers you need?
