Reflection randoms - Solving the insane ones (mordaut for example)

Reflection has a unique advantage of being able to pin most things down and give us pure accuracy. For example:

Maze:
Get tiles, find out where you are in a charted path (according to whoever solved the color version of the maze, I think Naum, there's really only like 4 paths), do that path and if you run into any doors, use ObjID, get the objID by standing next to it or just blindly check adjacent

Now, this is where it gets tricky:

Mordaut:
Is it possible to read items that are on the screen somehow? It would suck to do this one in color because sometimes he gives you 25 different items and you have to not only ID them all, but compare them with some pre-determined theme. Even when I'm doing it as my human self, I have to sit there for a while thinking/looking…

Through trial and error, get all the themes and then document all the items.

If you DTM the door he tells you or convert it to text, that's easy.

Of course it should be done where if color is working then just use that, but if it isn't, attempt to use a working reflection one.

Is this idea feasible or is it not possible to grab item names from the screen?

They are all feasible, its just no one does it.

Something like this should work
1) Get question using interfaces.
2) Get possible item selections via interfaces (use getID in simba, which is getComponentID in reality). All possible choices will be pre-programmed. Using itemIDs is probably better than color in this case.
3) Compare question to list of presets. If question is not in the list, make a guess method. A possible guess method could be classifying items into fish, equipment, etc. and selecting the three similar ones.
4) Select your choice and confirm.
5) Finish the rest.

Cool,

So I'm not familiar with Interfaces (it's one of the few areas of reflection I've never used, or even know much about), but looking at the Inferfaces.Simba

{*******************************************************************************
function GetValidInterfaces: TIntegerArray;
By: Drags111
Description: Returns an array of all the valid interfaces.
*******************************************************************************}

Looks like I'd use this to get an Array of interfaces… but what does it really mean? Does it mean that each number is one box containing an item? What is the definition of interface (see my gaps in knowledge :(?)

These look useful as well:
Function GetInterfaceText(ParentI, ChildI: Integer): String;
Function GetModelID(ParentI, ChildI: Integer): Integer;

I'd consider doing it (when I get the time), just I need to fill in a few knowledge gaps.

My knowledge of programming in general is solid (code construction, etc), though im beginner to medium level in java

You could just rip all the stuff from rsbot.

a interface is something like a bank screen, inventory, chat box, main screen, map, MM etc.
the interface childs are thing that are on a interface. like items in your bank, items in your inventory, text in the chat box, friends on your friendlist etc.

We don't have the people to maintain a project like this..

Not yet anyways.

How would one do that? (especially if the free bot is offline)

Thanks :)
Is there any way to debug and figure out what is what? For example in the quiz random, it just goes by numbers 1, 2 and 3 for the locations. Is it trial and error through experience or can someone use MMouse with one of them to debug the locations of what interface is what?

I agree we do need more
Though I always like to know if things are possible ;)
Plus I may be able to help with things like this in the future if I get acquainted with it now

Is it time to bring back interception? :P

Heh.

Actually I'm just going to rip all the stuff from RSBot and make reflection antirandoms. I really REALLY hate randoms and how I can leave my account for a few hours without getting owned. I want to suicide one.

The problem is our reflection can't do ground items… fuuuuuuuudge.

I'm SERIOUSLY considering tackling the randoms

I'll work on that as soon as I get some time..
You could talk with pyroryan, he'll explain everything you need to do ^^

I call maze. I'm already half way done it.

Half way done coding how to finish it :O ???

BTW I'm getting a ton of account stuck in randoms so I can start solving them.
Mordaut does look a bit bitchy though.

I just have to finish the pathing a little bit. Send the maze accounts this way.

EDIT: Oh yeah just got Mordaut. Bring it jagex!
EDIT2: Wow this looks solvable :)!!

I promise you, copying the questions, IDs, etc. from RSBot will save you countless hours of work.

Im going to have to since there's way too many ID's for one person to search for. It's all laid out :)!
