He gave up because he used kbot for hooks but they got shut down, and his updater wasn't very advanced.

Because me and Trilez can update nearly all of them ourselves. Neither of us can update the svn so you'll just have to manually update your hooks to the latest ones.
http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=59095 are the most recent hooks for #621. I'll also post the latest hooks for RS in the Client Hacking section.
http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=58997 will be updated with the latest hooks whenever Coh3n chooses.

That thread is for MSI, so as long as the hooks required for walking are updated, that's all MSI users need.
