Door Clicking.

I am working on a random and was wondering how could I could click a door using the tile it's on. (The door has a random id :frusty:)

Please show a example.

Thanks.

If you know the tile you should be able to adjust your screen so that you can click on the tile behind the door.

Tile B| Door |Tile A
(From a birds-eye view; camera all the way up, perfect north/south/east/west (depends on the shape of the building etc.).)

Move the camera down and opposite of Tile B, so it's more like..

Tile B
—–
Door
—–
Tile A

(and then camera all the way down; can't show a pseudo-3d view, but I hope you get it..)

Then simply click on Tile B. Realistically, you'd be clicking on the door.

I'm sure there are better ways to do it, but you could use this as a fail safe. Should always work, theoretically.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. This is the method I was thinking of doing but was wondering if there was a tile clicker for MS; and how could I implement it.

Damn! I had a code that I made about 2 weeks ago that would recognize any door and open it w/ reflection, but lost it due to format/virus :(

There was a thread on it around here somewhere, and I used TriBot to get the ID of the door I wanted. That may help

I know there is a simpler way to do it, but my way should work all the time. Adding a simple UpText check should suffice for a failsafe. Color checks would be nice, too.

I think if there was a combination of a script like this

//Pseudo-code time
if WalkToDoor then
if not ReflectionDoorOpen then ... if not AdjacentDoorFind then ... if not ColorFindDoor then ... if not InRangeOfTile then ....
Which would be the ultimate failsafe almost.

idk, maby just use a mouse offset? if you have perfect north, with high camera, you can move your mouse aprox 20-22 pixels in the direction the door is in from the center of the tile.

or you can get the midpoint of the two tiles that the door is between :)

Found the code from a few threads down if this hasn't been answered

1) Get: http://tribot.org/
EDIT: Tribot and RSBot are down… so I don't know how to get object ID's anymore

2) Download, run your character in it and go near the door you want to open

3) There should be a settings option somewhere to show object ID's, play around with the program until you turn it on

4)
Thanks to Shuttleu:
function OpenDoor(id: Integer): Boolean;
var
TheDoor: TRSObject;
MSPos: TPoint;
begin
TheDoor:= GetObjectByID(id, OBJECT_TYPE_INTERACTABLE, 15);
MSPos:= TileToMS(TheDoor.Tile, 10);
Mouse(MSPos.x, MSPos.y, 0, 0, False);
Result:= ChooseOptionMulti(['pen', 'oor']);
end;
Then just call
OpenDoor(Your_Door_ID_Here);
And you're set ;)

1) Manually update the relevant hooks in tribot's hook.txt.
2) Hex edit the relevant hooks into RSBot's info.dat.
Use either 1 or 2 to make the either bot usable for your purposes.
You could use the hooks on simba's reflection svn or the ones I post on forums.
