SMART on Windows 64 bit?

I took the Windows libsmart.dll from Mopars site. (The one with the auto Simba builds)
It doesn't seem to have any valid Symbol table.

$ amd64-mingw32msvc-objdump -t Plugins/libsmart.dll

Plugins/libsmart.dll: file format pei-x86-64

SYMBOL TABLE:
no symbols

Mopar, can you compile a version for me with the flag –export-all-symbols?

16:10:11 <@BenLand100> exported symbol table
16:10:27 <~Wizzup> Have a look
16:10:47 <~Wizzup> -t, --syms Display the contents of the symbol
table(s)
16:10:50 <~Wizzup> sec
16:11:04 <~Wizzup> libsmart.dll: file format pei-x86-64
16:11:04 <~Wizzup> SYMBOL TABLE:
16:11:04 <~Wizzup> no symbols
16:11:28 <@BenLand100> oh really?
16:11:33 <~Wizzup> Seems like it
16:11:34 <@BenLand100> the problem is compiling then
16:11:43 <~Wizzup> mopar compiled it afaik
16:11:50 <@BenLand100> or perhaps extra syntax is needed to get it to export
symbols
16:12:37 <@BenLand100> everything seems to be working except its not listed them
as exported symbols
16:12:44 <@BenLand100> so the windows equiv of dlsym is not working
16:13:15 <~Wizzup> Perhaps someone should try to compile it in a 64 bit windows...
16:13:22 <@BenLand100> (all of this is located in Main.c / Main.h iirc)
16:13:58 <@BenLand100> Wizzup, its probably either just a compiler flag, or some
extra syntax, for whatever compiler
16:14:04 <@BenLand100> (is there a 64bit mingw?
16:14:12 <~Wizzup> Apparently. But I don't have the g++, only gcc
16:14:28 <~Wizzup> amd64-mingw32msvc-gcc: src/Main.cpp: C++ compiler not
installed on this system
16:15:23 <~Wizzup> Let me try the ppa
16:16:05 <~Wizzup> BenLand100: https://launchpad.net/~mingw-packages/+archive/ppa
I'm trying this atm
16:16:07 <@BenLand100> --export-all-symbols
16:16:13 <@BenLand100> http://www.delorie.com/gnu/docs/binutils/binutils_15.html
16:16:40 <~Wizzup> Add it to your makefile?
16:16:48 <@BenLand100> maybe
16:16:53 <@BenLand100> first see if it works
16:16:54 <@BenLand100> :3

I didn't get g++ to work just yet.

I don't think that is the problem, since the 32-bit dll doesn't have any exported symbols either:

$ i586-mingw32msvc-objdump -t libsmart.dll

libsmart.dll: file format pei-i386

SYMBOL TABLE:
no symbols

But it still works.

edit:
by the way, I compiled one with the compiler specified as 'x86_64-w64-mingw32-g++ -fpermissive -Wl,–export-all-symbols -static' with the same results, no symbols.

Ah? So it does work. I understood previously that it didn't work properly… :)

I was saying the x86 (32-bit) libsmart.dll works, without any exported symbols. The 64-bit version still doesn't work.

Smart on 64-bit windows has worked for me ever since it came out and is working perfectly right now.

We mean a 64 bit plugin with 64 bit Simba.
Not 32 bit Simba (in emu mode) with 32 bit smart on 64 bit Windows. :)

It's not just SMART either, I haven't been able to get ANY (non-fpc) plugin to work on a 64-bit windows. Of course, since it's the only one I can't test natively from Linux, I haven't worked on it much either.

Yeah, it's not much of an issue atm. ;)
